District Manager Job Summary

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the District Manager will oversee and coordinate all actives for each self-storage store within a specified region.

We're looking for a self-driven, self-aware, leader who is devoted to inspiring and motivating their team and providing exceptional customer service.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and manages all operational issues at each store within the designated district in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.
  • Manages and directs the day-to-day reservations/rentals, delinquent tenant management and maintenance activities for each store within the district.
  • Monitors each property performance and effects operational changes to achieve district goals.
  • Ensures timely implementation and ongoing adherence to all regional and corporate initiatives for marketing, operational and business programs.
  • Ensures that all self-storage facilities within the designated district are performing within the annual budgets and that each store achieves or exceeds the budgeted Net Operating Income.
  • Ensures that each self-storage facility is maintained to ensure that maximum curb appeal is maintained and that the facility provides customers with a clean, safe, dry and attractive environment to store their belongings.
  • Hires, trains, motivates and mentors all store employees within the designated district.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and performance of all store employees with the designated district, ensuring each store is properly staffed and operating during business hours.
  • Handles discipline and terminations of store employees in accordance with company policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Needed
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred; OR
  • Demonstrated leadership in building, developing and retaining high-performing teams of hourly employees in a retail, service or related industry.
  • Proven track record of first-class performance.
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills.
  • Passion for customer service excellence and coaching staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
