Job Description

Contract Management:
  • Leads every aspect of services and operations
  • Understands contractual terms and conditions
  • Negotiates agreements that are mutually satisfying

Client Relationships
  • Understands that client retention is embedded as a daily process through thoughtful action and attitude, utilizing the Tenacity Client for Life methodology
  • Ensures a visible Account-level presence to foster and maintain effective working relationship with all Clients
  • Establishes and maintains a professional, trusting and positive working relationship with clients
  • Aligns key Dexterra contacts with like positions or titles within the client organization and create a relationship matrix (Web of Influence)

People Management
  • Ability to communicate performance expectations, monitor and reward performance to ensure plans, goals and budgets are met
  • Develops and facilitates developmental experiences for effective job performance
  • Ensures Dexterra People have clarity of Vision and live our Values in the delivery of high quality services
  • Acts as a talent scout using networks to help identify, recruit and vet proposed Dexterra People or Subcontractors
  • Ensures succession plans are regularly reviewed and plans for career growth are supported by a personal development plan
  • Provides immediate performance recognition and feedback and as per Performance Discussion Cycle

Sales and Growth:
  • Identifies new opportunities to market and sell new products and services within existing clients or to new clients.
  • Has a strategic selling mindset and utilizes the Miller Heiman sales methodology and process
  • Stays abreast of trends in Client environments, economic and competitive forces, managing the Value Gap

Operational Expertise
  • Promotes and develops a positive health and safety culture and demonstrates visible health, safety and environmental leadership
  • Oversees management team to ensure strength of operations utilizing quality checks and other methods
  • Uses functional knowledge to advance Dexterra interests and provide expertise to the client organization
  • Inputs to and is accountable for annual budgets and review of P&L statements to meet account, division and company objectives
  • Financial management responsibilities include use of standards, variance analysis with key consideration for margins, productivity, capital and accounts receivables
  • Ensures accounts manage worker's compensation matters efficiently
  • Ensures that health, safety and environment management systems are implemented for the prevention, in so far as is reasonably practicable, of all injury, illness to employees and other persons, damage to assets, infrastructure and the environment
  • Ensures that all accounts comply with legislative, regulatory and code requirements

Managing Key Events
  • Stays up-to-date on key events such as account openings, client changes, management changes, crisis management, account closings and major client events that affect Dexterra and the client organization
  • Considers the impact of events and can best plan and implement activities to best position Dexterra to achieve a competitive business strategy


Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 years of management experience leading a team that provides culinary or cleaning services
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in one or more integrated facilities management services preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
  • Proven ability to lead others by demonstrating empathy, open-mindedness and respect
  • Ability to maintain excellent relations with People - employees, client and customers
  • Familiar with health, safety and environmental management systems
  • Strong problem solving and organization skills
  • Intermediate level expertise with Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to travel between sites on demand, travel is required approximately 40% of the time
