Job SummaryWe are seeking a collaborative and strategic District Manager to lead a portfolio of dining and hospitality operations within a premier financial services client environment. This role is based in New York City and oversees a collection of regional office locations while partnering closely with on-site leaders to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences, operational excellence, and strong financial performance.
The portfolio represents approximately
$15M-$25M in annual managed volume and includes both New York City headquarters operations and several regional locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a General Manager, Executive Chef, Chef Manager, or multi-unit hospitality leader looking to expand their regional leadership experience and influence.
The District Manager will provide leadership across multiple accounts while supporting remote teams, strengthening client partnerships, and ensuring a consistent hospitality experience across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and support a team of General Managers, Chef Managers, Executive Chefs, and site leaders across multiple locations.
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and serve as a trusted strategic partner.
- Guide operational and financial performance across a portfolio generating approximately $15M-$25M in annual revenue.
- Foster a culture focused on hospitality, service excellence, safety, inclusion, and accountability.
- Support leaders in achieving key performance goals related to client satisfaction, engagement, retention, and financial outcomes.
- Partner with operations, culinary, finance, and support teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Conduct regular site visits and provide coaching, development, and operational support to management teams.
- Monitor food quality, service standards, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance across all locations.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities while maintaining accountability for portfolio P&L performance.
- Support talent development through performance management, succession planning, and leadership coaching.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to share best practices, solve challenges, and identify growth opportunities.
- Represent the organization at client meetings, special events, and community engagement activities.
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant leadership experience.
- Experience leading food service, hospitality, workplace experience, or corporate dining operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams across multiple locations or readiness to transition into a multi-unit leadership role.
- Experience managing financial performance, budgets, forecasting, and operational metrics.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Ability to travel within the region approximately 10-15%.
- Experience within corporate dining, business and industry, workplace hospitality, or financial services environments.
- Background as a General Manager, Executive Chef, Chef Manager, Resident District Manager, or similar operational leadership role.
- Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams and remote management structures.
- Strong business acumen with experience driving profitability while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Ability to navigate complex client environments and build long-term partnerships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to developing talent, fostering inclusion, and creating positive team experiences.
