Location: Denver, Colorado - Field Based

Position Overview: The District Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth, market execution, and distributor engagement throughout Colorado. This is a highly visible, field-based position responsible for developing Palm Bay International's premium wine and spirits portfolio across both the On- and Off-Premise channels while partnering closely with our distributor to execute annual business plans. The ideal candidate combines strong sales instincts with strategic thinking, enjoys working independently, and excels at building lasting relationships with customers, distributor partners, and internal stakeholders. This position reports directly to the Regional Manager.

What You'll Do

Drive Market Growth
  • Develop and execute territory business plans that deliver distribution, depletion, revenue, and profitability goals.
  • Identify and convert new account opportunities while growing existing business across both On- and Off-Premise channels.
  • Expand distribution of Palm Bay's premium wine and spirits portfolio throughout Colorado.
  • Identify pricing, programming, display, and promotional opportunities that accelerate growth.
  • Execute annual business plans and achieve territory objectives aligned with company priorities.

Build Strong Customer Relationships
  • Become the trusted business partner for key retail accounts, restaurants, bars, hotels, entertainment venues, and hospitality groups.
  • Conduct account business reviews and recommend assortment, pricing, merchandising, and programming strategies.
  • Coordinate staff trainings, consumer tastings, menu placements, retail promotions, and account activations.
  • Develop strategic relationships with regional chain accounts and key decision-makers.

Lead Distributor Execution
  • Conduct regular ride-withs alongside distributor sales representatives across both On- and Off-Premise divisions.
  • Deliver engaging sales meetings, product education, market blitzes, and distributor trainings.
  • Partner with distributor leadership to establish priorities, improve execution, and drive accountability.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with distributor management and collaborate with internal counterparts on market strategy.
  • Execute Supplier Excellence
  • Plan and execute supplier market visits, account calls, educational seminars, chain presentations, and customer events.
  • Ensure strong execution of national and regional programming across all channels.
  • Monitor inventory levels, vintages, product rotation, merchandising standards, and purchasing opportunities.
  • Coordinate supplier visits that strengthen distributor engagement and customer relationships.

Analyze & Communicate
  • Utilize sales data and marketplace insights to identify opportunities and measure performance.
  • Provide regular territory updates, competitive intelligence, and strategic recommendations.
  • Develop presentations and business reviews using sales analytics and market insights.
  • Manage travel and entertainment budgets with a strong focus on ROI.

  • 5-8 years of progressive beverage alcohol sales experience with a supplier, importer, distributor, or related beverage company.
  • Existing relationships within the Colorado On- and Off-Premise market strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing both independent and chain retail accounts, restaurants, bars, hotels, and hospitality groups.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with distributor sales organizations to achieve distribution, depletion, and revenue objectives.
  • Strong understanding of distributor operations, pricing strategy, merchandising, promotions, and market execution.
  • Experience developing business plans, delivering executive-level presentations, and leading professional sales training.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM/sales analytics platforms.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout Colorado, including occasional overnight travel and weekend events.
