Leads recruitment process for senior-level positions. Utilizes appropriate recruitment sourcing strategies and builds strategic industry contacts to build a candidate pipeline. • Leads local market research and analysis for salary/bonus review cycle. • Provides guidance, coaching, and training on all aspects of career management. • Guides and coaches supervisors through progressive discipline process for entry to mid-level positions, including the development and delivery of performance improvement plans and/or progressive disciplinary strategies on employee relations issues up to and including termination. • Leads investigations, including communication/implementation of outcomes/decisions. Assists manager on complex investigations. • Has demonstrated experience in executing employment investigations. • Oversees student program strategy, enhances, and influences the program to align with district strategies. Maintains strategic relationships with academic institutions. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred. • Completion of HR designation preferred. • 7 years of progressive human resources experience preferred. • Supervisory experience an asset. • Demonstrated understanding and application of HRPD-related principles, practices, procedures, and employment legislation. • Able to tactfully and diplomatically deal with people and act with discretion when handling confidential information. • Able to interpret and analyze information and data and make recommendations. • Strong business acumen, with an understanding of industry practices and new developments. • Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization. • Able to effectively manage a team comprising of entry-level human resources professionals. • Seen as a trusted advisor with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers PCL projects are where life happens, where communities connect, careers begin, and progress is made.
