Job Summary

Manages the execution of production and labor plans within the distribution center, focusing on day-to-day operations to meet key performance indicators and ensure smooth building flow. Works closely with distribution center departments to develop staffing plans, forecast labor needs, and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
  • Leads the production planning process with the local distribution center leadership team, including forecasting labor and equipment needs, creating staffing plans, and making real-time adjustments to meet daily, weekly, and seasonal production goals.
  • Coordinates building resources and collaborates with local distribution center departments to ensure alignment and execution of production plans, facilitating cross-departmental meetings to monitor progress and resolve issues.
  • Partners with human resources and the local distribution center leadership team to manage staffing needs, including scheduled time off, ensuring adequate workforce availability.
  • Identifies and resolves backlogs by analyzing bottlenecks, reallocating resources, and addressing opportunities for process improvement within the local distribution center.
  • Monitors key performance indicators to ensure production and staffing plans are being executed effectively, making necessary adjustments to optimize performance and meet operational targets.
  • Educates and trains the local distribution center leadership team on production planning processes, tools, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.

  • Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.


Work Environment
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight less than 10% of the time.


Education and Experience
  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

$121,700.00-$185,800.00 Annual
