Position Summary
The position is responsible to lead all functions related to operation of a single Distribution Center for Firestone Airide. DC’s are located on the same property as manufacturing plants that operate on a 24/7 basis and DC must support incoming finished goods put away and fulfill outbound customer orders with pick and pack processes. This position is the onsite lead for all operations in the DC from operating budget, inventory controls, to receiving and shipping.

An internal teammate has been identified as a preferred candidate for this role. While all applications will be reviewed, the hiring manager may choose not to hold interviews and select the preferred candidate. In this case, all internal applicants will be notified of the decision.

Responsibilities

Provides leadership, guidance, and training in all warehouse functional areas, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, cycle counting, order picking, labeling, and material handling.
•    Leads a team of 2-4 salary logistics analysts and up to 25 hourly teammates.
•  Processes transactions utilizing RF technology and/or by identifying items on a paper pick ticket according to bin location, part number, and/or description, or other method used within facility.
•  Ensures all materials are packed and labels properly per company or customers packaging specifications.
•    Responsible for cycle counting and to lead any physical inventory process as required by policy.
•  Audits incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy.
•  Coordinate with Customer Service and manufacturing a daily basis to ensure the highest level of customer service and on-time delivery are maintained.
•  Assures that the highest standards are maintained for safety, housekeeping, and compliance with all government and company standards. Conduct and record regular safety meetings and training. 
•  Leads continuous improvement projects as assigned.
•  Troubleshoots all receiving and shipping complaints to find the cause, help resolve the issue, and prevent reoccurrence. 
•  Utilizes SAP system to accurately ship and label products 
•  Coordinates transportation logistics, deliveries, drivers, and including any required certifications, paperwork, etc.
•    Responsible to create operational financial budget annually.
•  Manages warehouse resources, shipping supplies and other consumables, including minor facility maintenance while staying within budget. 
•  Utilizes current operating system (SAP) for shipping, receiving, cycle counting, picking and back-order filling functions. 
•  Supervises assigned employees, including assessing and planning for overtime needs. 
•  Maintains a satisfactory rating on Safety and Quality Audits.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field (Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing); 6 y+ years of relevant experience including 3-5 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience.
Or Master's degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing); 4+ years of relevant experience including 2-4 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

    Microsoft software or ERP shipping/receiving experience.
•  5 years experience work in a Distribution environment.
•  Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
•  Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
