Job Responsibilities- Design and coordination of work on multidiscipline projects ranging from due diligence/site feasibility studies, site engineering, through regulatory approvals and full permitting for full range of site development projects.
- Develop site layout and design, including site grading and storm drainage, roadway design, water and sewer infrastructure, erosion and sediment control.
- Prepare hydrology and hydraulic calculations and be knowledgeable of NYSDEC storm water drainage and SWPPP requirements.
- Perform project administration including writing reports, gathering information, writing proposals & correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports.
- Prepare engineer's opinion of probable costs for designed projects and specifications for public bids.
- Coordinate with other engineering and architectural departments within the firm.
- Relationship building and communication directly with clients in support and coordination of all project activities.
- Working both independently and as a team with other professionals and technicians dependent on project/task.
- Responsible for the on-time, on budget, high quality technical delivery of all project requirements.
Education and Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
- 15+ years design experience with a specific focus on site development projects
- Strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills, Autoturn, Excel, and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices of related technical areas.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently or within project teams.
- Team-spirited, focused and able to make independent decisions.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- PE required.
The
salary range for this role is $131,000 - 165,000 annually.
The employment offer may deviate from this published range based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, specialty, knowledge, education, geography and/or related certifications - not related to any applicant's characteristics protected by local, state or federal law.
