Position Summary

The Director for Visit Experience has the primary responsibility for directing the planning and implementing logistics for multiple admissions events, effectively relay event information to faculty and staff, supervising the visitor reception area, providing oversight to the student Admission Campus Explorer (ACEs) program, organizing and coordinating high school group visits, and ensuring that the student visit experience to La Salle University is welcoming and inclusive. The Director for Visit Experience must have the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with students, faculty, administrators, staff and the public. It is critical that the direction serve as an expert on all aspect of customer service as it relates to hosting off campus guests, the details that go into planning large events, and in effectively supervising and mentoring professional and student staff.

Essential Duties

  • Provide direction and vision to the student experience including campus tours, group visits, special events, etc.
  • Supervise Visit Coordinator.
  • Maintain Enrollment division calendar of events.
  • Coordinate marketing for admissions related events.
  • Provide direction and supervision to the visit experience team including professional and student staff.
  • Ensure that the reception area functions properly with an eye on customer service.
  • Provide direction and vision to the Admissions Campus Explorer (ACE) program.
  • Oversee student staff at events and prepare assignments for all student workers.
  • Communicate with appropriate offices to ensure that Admissions events are properly planned and managed.
  • Prepare event information to submit for internal and external communications.
  • Ensure event and content information on the website and emails is accurate.
  • Submit requests in advance for facilities, marketing, catering, room reservations, etc, as needed.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of campus wide events, as needed and requested.
  • Regularly evaluate and adjust admissions events.
  • Ensure print materials for the visit experience are updated and in stock.
  • Manage inventory of event materials.


Secondary Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with other divisional and University-wide departments to enhance the student experience, especially related to on campus recruitment activities.
  • Attend recruitment events to support registration and other administrative tasks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree.
  • Strong customer service orientation and experience in developing recruiting and communication strategies.
  • Previous experience using Technolutions Slate CRM.
  • Previous experience using Ellucian's BANNER.


Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
  • Evening and weekend work will be necessary during peak times.
  • Some travel to colleges for external events.
  • Mobility and ability to lift and move boxes, equipment, and set-ups.
