Full Job Description
Director of Victim Services to join our team! This position provides strategic direction for program development, compliance, funding, community partnerships, and staff supervision while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, victim-centered services. The Director promotes trauma-informed and culturally responsive care, advocates for victims' rights, leads community outreach and education efforts, oversees crisis response services, and works collaboratively with law enforcement, healthcare providers, courts, and community partners to enhance support for victims and their families.

The salary range for this full-time position is $95,000-$105,000.

Responsibilities

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive victim support programs addressing crime victims, domestic violence survivors, and individuals affected by trauma.
  • Ensure all programs operate in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, funding requirements, and best practices in victim assistance.
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities through grants, community partnerships, and other resources; Prepare and oversee grant applications, budgets, and reports.
  • Manage program budgets efficiently and transparently.
  • Supervise and mentor program leadership, staff, and interns.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, and support professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure staff training compliance requirements are met.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with law enforcement, courts, healthcare providers, community organizations, schools and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate efforts to streamline victim services and ensure comprehensive support.
  • Represent the agency at community meetings, coalitions, and public forums.
  • Create a maintain a system of referrals with WJCS programs including CCBHC clinics.
  • Advocate for victims' rights and needs within the community and at policy levels.
  • Conduct ongoing community outreach to ensure program awareness.
  • Ensure coverage and response of the program 24-hour hotline.
  • Be available during hotline after hour emergencies.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to crisis situations involving victims.


Requirements

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in victim services, social services, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in program development, management, and supervision.
  • Strong understanding of victim rights, trauma-informed care, and culturally competent service delivery.
  • Familiarity with laws related to victim assistance and domestic violence.
  • Knowledge of community resources, law enforcement, judicial processes, and healthcare systems, and program evaluation.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed between sites.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
