About the role:

As the The Director of Operations for Valves and Electrical Services, your primary function will be ensuring that Westinghouse Generation Support Services provides stakeholder management of assigned clients (Nuclear and Non- Nuclear) for safe, quality effective and profitable valve maintenance services.

You will report to the Sr. Director, Valves and Electrical Services. This is a remote role that can be performed from anywhere within the United States, though it does require significant travel (50% or more).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain positive relations with client executive and plant management - ensuring client needs are met including project milestones, performance (safety, quality, human performance), production (schedule, productivity metrics), financial and fiscal responsibilities.
  • Support and foster a safety conscious work environment where all employees understand reporting options and opportunities for safety and work-related concerns. Take proactive steps to coach individuals and address corrective actions in collaboration with WEC executive management and human resource staff.
  • Ensure successful planning and execution of assigned projects including project planning, scope assessment, readiness, safety, quality, financial, human performance and human resource implementation deployment.
  • Responsible for oversight of operations within the assigned area including project staffing assignments, technical and leadership training, human performance, quality, and safety.
  • Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with peers, executive management, and other WEC departments to support teamwork and achievement of results that are positive for the overall WEC business.
  • Ensure that conduct of operations meets all regulatory, government, client and WEC guidelines and requirements.
  • Remain visible, available, and approachable to WEC employees supporting assigned operational projects and lead by example with regards to expected positive behaviors, field observations, corrective actions and coaching.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or business management required, advanced degree in a technical discipline or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible operations leadership
  • Maintenance management experience in power generation, industrial or marine industries
  • Experience with organized trade unions and labor management for exempt and non-exempt work forces
  • Ability to travel on a weekly / frequent basis to support WEC and client needs.
  • Ability maintaina presence at client sites for extended periods of time to support outages, including assignment as a leader for complete outage time frames.


We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $162,000.00 to $202,500.00 per year. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
