WHAT WE NEED

Reporting into the Sr. Director of Treasury & Accounting, the Director of Treasury is responsible for leading the organization's treasury strategy, liquidity management, banking operations, financial risk management, and cash flow forecasting activities to support the company's operational and long-term strategic objectives. This role serves as a strategic finance leader and business partner, driving transformation initiatives through automation, process optimization, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies such as AI. This role combines deep treasury expertise with an innovative, forward-thinking mindset to modernize and transform treasury operations.

The Director of Treasury will partner closely with leaders from FP&A, Accounting, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales and Digital teams to align treasury strategy with the company's broader financial and operational objectives, driving sustainable growth and long-term value creation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing treasury team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence
    • Establish clear goals, development plans, and performance metrics for members of the Treasury team
    • Build cross-functional relationships and influence across Finance, Digital, Procurement and Sales teams
  • Strategic Treasury Leadership:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive treasury strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives and ownership goals
    • Serve as a key member of the Finance leadership team, providing strategic counsel to the Sr. Director of Treasury & Accounting on capital allocation, liquidity, and financial risk
    • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the treasury function, embracing technology and data-driven decision making
    • Define and track cash and liquidity KPIs, presenting regular performance insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Cash & Liquidity Management:
    • Lead the design and ongoing management of a best-in-class cash management framework, including daily cash positioning, daily cash flow forecasting and liquidity forecasting
    • Oversee the build-out and continuous refinement of multi-horizon cash flow forecasting models leveraging advanced Excel and analytics tools
    • Ensure the company maintains optimal liquidity across all operating entities to support working capital, capital expenditures, and strategic initiatives
    • Manage revolving credit facility utilization and ensure compliance with all debt covenants
  • Technology, Automation & Innovation:
    • Act as a change agent to transform treasury operations through automation, eliminating manual processes and driving scalability across the function
    • Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of Treasury systems, ERP enhancements, and fintech solutions
    • Leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to enhance cash forecasting accuracy, scenario analysis, and fraud detection capabilities
    • Partner with Digital and Finance to deploy advanced analytics platforms and dashboards that provide real-time treasury visibility across the organization
    • Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices relevant to treasury in the food and beverage sector


WHAT YOU WILL DO (Continued)

  • Capital Structure & Financial Risk Management:
    • Oversee the company's capital structure, including debt management, covenant compliance, and strategic refinancing opportunities
    • Develop and execute hedging strategies for key financial exposures including interest rates, commodity inputs (e.g., agricultural commodities, packaging), and foreign exchange
    • Support enterprise-wide financial risk assessments and maintain a robust risk management framework aligned with ownership objectives
    • Support the senior executive team in evaluating M&A opportunities, financing strategies, and other strategic investments
  • Banking Relationships & Operations:
    • Support the Sr. Director of Treasury & Accounting in relationship management for all banking partners, ensuring the company receives competitive terms, services, and fee structures
    • Oversee all banking administration including account structure, authorized signers, portal administration, and payment controls
    • Drive a payment modernization strategy encompassing ACH, wire, virtual card, and emerging real-time payment rails
  • Treasury Policies & Compliance:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive treasury policies covering cash management, debt management, financial risk, and banking operations
    • Ensure a strong internal control environment in alignment with company policies and external regulatory requirements
    • Support external audits and financial reporting as it pertains to all treasury-related disclosures


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA preferred
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 10+ years of progressive treasury experience, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership role; private equity-backed or privately held company experience a plus
  • Experience in the food and beverage, consumer goods, or manufacturing industry strongly preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required (complex financial modeling, dynamic dashboards, Power Bi, and macro development)
  • Demonstrated experience leading technology transformation initiatives, including TMS implementations, ERP integrations, or fintech deployments
  • Proven track record leveraging automation and AI tools to improve treasury operations and drive efficiencies
  • Deep expertise in cash management, liquidity forecasting, capital markets, debt management, and financial risk management
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to senior leadership and ownership
