Full Job Description

We are looking for a Director, Total Rewards & People Services to join our People Team. This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who brings deep expertise across compensation, benefits, payroll, HR technology, and people operations, along with the ability to balance strategic leadership and hands-on execution.

In this role, you will lead global Total Rewards and People Services functions, including compensation, benefits, payroll, HRIS, and employee services. You will partner closely with the Chief People Officer, HR leaders, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to ensure our programs are competitive, compliant, scalable, and aligned with business priorities. This is a true player-coach role, requiring someone who can set strategy, lead and develop teams, and remain actively involved in key initiatives, operational decisions, and process improvements.

The successful candidate will bring strong business acumen, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to connect strategy with execution. We are looking for someone who can simplify complexity, influence across all levels of the organization, and continuously improve the employee experience while ensuring operational excellence.

About You: Experience, Education, and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience across Total Rewards, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, HRIS, and/or People Operations functions
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience managing multiple HR service disciplines and leading high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated success designing and administering global compensation and benefits programs
  • Strong understanding of payroll operations, employment regulations, compliance requirements, and governance practices
  • Experience working with HR technology platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UKG, or similar systems
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change, process transformation, and operational improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to balance long-term strategy with operational execution and hands-on problem solving
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across functions

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and develop teams responsible for payroll, HRIS, compensation, benefits, and people services
  • Create clarity, focus, and accountability across priorities while supporting team development and growth
  • Establish goals, performance expectations, and development plans that drive business impact and individual success
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, collaboration, and exceptional service delivery
  • Serve as a player-coach by providing strategic leadership while remaining actively involved in critical initiatives and operational priorities
Total Rewards Strategy
  • Develop and execute global compensation strategies that align with business objectives and support talent attraction and retention
  • Lead annual compensation processes, including salary planning, market benchmarking, incentive programs, and compensation governance
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders on compensation recommendations, pay equity, and job architecture decisions
  • Oversee the design, administration, and continuous improvement of global benefits programs while ensuring competitiveness and compliance
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to reward programs that improve employee engagement and organizational effectiveness
Payroll Operations
  • Provide leadership and oversight for domestic and international payroll programs
  • Ensure payroll processes are accurate, compliant, timely, and aligned with applicable regulations across jurisdictions
  • Manage relationships with payroll vendors and service providers to ensure quality, performance, and compliance
  • Partner with Finance, Tax, Legal, and HR stakeholders to maintain strong controls and minimize risk
HRIS & People Technology
  • Serve as the business leader and executive sponsor for HR systems and people data strategy
  • Lead HRIS optimization efforts, implementations, upgrades, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, compliance, and security across people technology platforms
  • Leverage automation and technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and employee experience
People Services & Employee Experience
  • Lead shared services and employee support functions across the employee lifecycle
  • Drive operational excellence through process standardization, workflow optimization, and scalable service delivery models
  • Establish service metrics, reporting, and performance measures to monitor effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Continuously enhance the employee experience by simplifying processes and improving service delivery
Strategy, Governance & Business Partnership
  • Develop and maintain policies, programs, and governance frameworks related to compensation, benefits, payroll, HR systems, and people operations
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and implement necessary compliance measures
  • Deliver workforce analytics and business insights that support informed decision-making
  • Partner closely with Finance, Legal, HR leadership, and business leaders to align people programs with organizational objectives
  • Help shape the long-term people strategy by identifying opportunities to improve scalability, efficiency, and employee outcomes
