Position DescriptionDirects, plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Major/Essential Functions- Lead and oversee student success, retention, and progression initiatives across the nursing program.
- Develop and implement strategies to support academically at-risk students and improve student outcomes.
- Collaborate with faculty to create and evaluate academic support programs, tutoring services, workshops, and student success interventions.
- Monitor and analyze retention, progression, graduation, and licensure performance data to guide continuous improvement efforts.
- Oversee student success plans, referrals, and support services, connecting students with appropriate campus and community resources.
- Oversee and collaborate with student success personnel, peer tutors, and other related support programs.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among students, faculty, and support services to promote student engagement and success.
- Prepare reports and provide recommendations related to student success metrics, accreditation requirements, and program effectiveness.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university committees and initiatives that support student achievement and institutional goals.
- Remain current with all licensure, certifications, and mandatory compliance and training requirements for this position.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).

Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a related area plus five years of progressively responsible management experience OR a combination of education and/or years of experience in management to equal a minimum of 9 years.
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in nursing education preferred.
- Experience in nursing education, academic support services, retention initiatives, or related areas.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, data analysis, and program development skills.
