WHAT'S THE TEAM LIKE

The Terminal Operations Division is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and exceptional airport terminal operations that support millions of passengers each year. This team oversees terminal operations, guest experience, facility services, and baggage services, working collaboratively with internal partners and external stakeholders. Their work is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and a world-class passenger experience that aligns with Calgary Airports' strategic priorities.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for Terminal Operations to optimize efficiency, operational performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee daily terminal operations, facilities services, guest experience, and baggage services to ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and implement divisional strategies, business plans, and performance objectives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of senior leaders, fostering a high-performing, accountable, and inclusive culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal regulations, safety standards, and security requirements.
  • Provide financial oversight, including development and management of operating budgets, capital planning, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal partners, airlines, tenants, regulators, and service providers.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Aviation Management, Operations, or a related field is required. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience within aviation, airport operations, or a similarly complex, regulated environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of senior people leadership experience, including leading managers or multi-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic and operational plans aligned with enterprise objectives.
  • Proven experience managing complex operations while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational safety

WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS ARE AN ASSET
  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Professional leadership certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Change Management, or equivalent.
