How you'll make an impact in this role- Lead high-impact recovery efforts: Facilitate 24/7 technical bridge calls and "war rooms" during critical IT incidents, uniting cross-functional engineering teams to rapidly restore systems that power patient care.
- Evaluate clinical impact: Assess system outages in real time to quantify operational risks, directly protecting patient safety and keeping critical healthcare applications online.
- Drive root-cause prevention: Direct post-incident reviews and root-cause analyses within 48 hours to turn system failures into long-term infrastructure improvements.
- Deliver executive communications: Author clear, timely updates to C-suite leadership and operational teams during major service disruptions to ensure enterprise-wide alignment.
- Modernize incident processes: Optimize enterprise incident management frameworks using ITIL best practices and automation to lower resolution times and enhance overall operational resilience.
What minimum requirements you'll needEducation:
- High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
What additional preferences we're seeking- 12+ years of Major Incident Management experience, including direct leadership within an enterprise healthcare operational environment.
- 5-7 years of hands-on technical expertise across core healthcare infrastructure domains (Networking, Clinical Imaging systems, or EHR access frameworks).
- Demonstrated mastery of HIPAA and HITECH regulatory compliance as it applies to protected health information (PHI) and technical operations.
