Full Job Description
What this role is all about:

The Director, Technology Delivery is a senior people leader accountable for building, leading, and evolving Beem's Technology Delivery capability in alignment with Beem's future ways of working-including pod/squad-based delivery, clear outcome ownership, lean governance, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Reporting to the VP, Digital Solutions, this role leads Business Analysts (BAs), QA Engineers, and Technology Delivery Partners to ensure delivery teams are consistently set up for success and achieve high-quality outcomes.

This role is accountable for:

  • Technology Delivery enablement and governance (planning, capacity, reporting, risk/issue management, and release readiness)
  • Maturing analysis and quality engineering practices to reduce rework and improve stability
  • Ensures Technology Delivery teams operate effectively within the established agile operating model
  • Enabling reliable execution across organizational boundaries through strong stakeholder partnership

What you'll do:

1) Delivery Leadership & Team Success

  • Lead and develop high-performing Technology Delivery teams (BAs, QA Engineers, Technology Delivery Partners) with clear expectations, role clarity, and strong engagement
  • Ensure pods/squads have the right delivery support to succeed (discovery support, backlog readiness, dependency coordination, delivery planning, and release readiness)
  • Ensure consistent execution of core delivery disciplines (Definition of Ready/Done, acceptance criteria quality, dependency management, and flow), operating within the established agile ceremonies and cadence
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and predictable delivery outcomes
  • Coach leaders and practitioners to improve delivery effectiveness, decision-making, and stakeholder partnership (without owning enterprise agile coaching)

2) Analysis & Quality Engineering Excellence

  • Strengthen business analysis practices that enable clear outcomes and high-quality delivery (problem framing, discovery support, story slicing, acceptance criteria, and stakeholder alignment)
  • Advance quality engineering practices across initiatives (risk-based testing, automation strategy enablement, non-functional testing alignment, and release readiness)
  • Ensure QA Engineers are engaged early to drive quality upstream (testability, acceptance criteria, non-functional considerations, and defect prevention)
  • Define and socialize standards, templates, tools, and playbooks that improve consistency and reduce rework-keeping practices lean and outcome-focused
  • Where valuable, establish and sustain communities of practice for BA and QA disciplines

3) Delivery Enablement, Planning, Capacity & Governance

  • Own delivery enablement and governance for Technology Delivery, including intake support, prioritization support inputs, delivery health reporting, and risk/issue management
  • Establish and manage capacity planning for BAs, QA Engineers, and Delivery Partners across pods/squads-balancing demand, skills, and availability
  • Provide transparent delivery reporting and escalation on progress, impediments, risks, and dependencies; drive resolution of systemic blockers
  • Partner with Technology and non-Technology stakeholders to translate priorities into feasible sequencing and delivery plans

4) Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration

  • Partner with Product leadership outside Technology to ensure shared accountability, clear handoffs, and aligned outcomes from discovery through release
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Development, Enterprise Data, Security, and Operations to enable end-to-end delivery success while clarifying ownership boundaries
  • Build and manage effective relationships with external delivery partners/vendors as needed, ensuring alignment, performance, and outcome accountability
  • Represent Technology Delivery in planning and governance forums, ensuring decisions consider delivery impacts (capacity, risk, sequencing, and quality)

5) Talent Development & Capability Growth

  • Recruit, develop, and retain delivery talent across BA, QA Engineering, and delivery partner roles
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance leadership that strengthens craft excellence, team effectiveness, and leadership bench strength
  • Establish clear career pathways and progression expectations aligned to Beem's values and job architecture
  • Foster inclusive, psychologically safe teams that continuously learn, improve, and share knowledge

Measures of Success

  • Team success & engagement: strong engagement and retention; clear development pathways for BAs, QA Engineers, and Delivery Partners
  • Predictable delivery: improved reliability of commitments; reduced carry-over; clearer dependency management and escalation effectiveness
  • Quality outcomes: fewer late-stage defects; reduced production incidents attributable to delivery process gaps; improved release readiness and regression effectiveness
  • Reduced rework: stronger discovery/backlog readiness, clearer acceptance criteria, improved end-to-end validation and test coverage
  • Stakeholder confidence: strong satisfaction from Product and business partners outside Technology, and effective collaboration with internal/external partners
  • Delivery maturity within the agile operating model: measurable improvements in flow (e.g., reduced lead time from ready to done) without expanding process overhead

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in technology delivery, including senior leadership experience across Business Analysis, QA/Quality Engineering, delivery governance, and partner management
  • Demonstrated success operating in agile delivery environments (Scrum/Kanban/Hybrid) and enabling pods/squads to deliver reliably within an established enterprise agile model
  • Strong expertise in quality engineering practices (test strategy, automation enablement, risk-based testing, non-functional testing alignment, and release readiness)
  • Proven ability to scale and mature Business Analysis practices (discovery support, problem framing, story quality, acceptance criteria, and stakeholder alignment)
  • Experience building and managing capacity models, workforce planning, and skill development across multi-discipline delivery teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across Product, Architecture, Development, Data, Security, and Operations
  • Experience managing external delivery partners and vendors, including performance management and outcome accountability
