What will you contribute?

Reporting to the Cloud Delivery Manager, this role is responsible for leading a team of Application Operations Engineers supporting Finastra payment solutions hosted in public cloud environments for global banking clients. The position drives the deployment, operational excellence, reliability, security, and continuous improvement of mission-critical payment applications, ensuring high availability, scalability, and compliance across cloud-based platforms.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Your deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Lead and develop a team of Application Operations Engineers responsible for deploying, upgrading, patching, and maintaining Finastra payment solutions across containerized and virtual machine environments.
  • Manage cloud delivery initiatives, working closely with Development, Services, and Infrastructure teams to support new client implementations, platform modernization, and cloud technology upgrades.
  • Govern CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to ensure efficient, automated, and repeatable build, deployment, and operational processes.
  • Oversee 24x7x365 production operations in a follow-the-sun support model, ensuring the stability and performance of high-volume, low-latency payment processing environments.
  • Drive operational excellence by maintaining 99.9% uptime SLAs, supporting incident management, disaster recovery testing, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with security, resiliency, vulnerability management, and audit requirements, including SOC2 and financial industry regulatory standards.
  • Lead cross-functional programs and teams, establish operational policies and standards, allocate resources, and drive execution against business objectives.
  • Resolve complex technical and operational challenges while influencing stakeholders and senior leaders to achieve strategic business outcomes.


Required Experience:
  • Experience leading cloud operations, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or application support teams in enterprise or financial services environments.
  • Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP), container technologies, virtualized infrastructure, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, release management, and cloud-native deployment practices.
  • Proven ability to manage mission-critical production environments with stringent uptime, availability, security, and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Experience supporting large-scale payment systems, financial applications, or other high-volume transaction processing platforms.
  • Strong understanding of incident, problem, change, and service management processes in a 24x7 operational environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing multiple teams, programs, or complex technical initiatives across global organizations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
