Position SummaryWe are recruiting a Director of Strategy & Operations to join the Data Science & Digital Health (DSDH) Strategy & Operations team.
This Director is responsible for shaping and delivering a clear internal strategy narrative for DSDH, supporting executive and Board-level communications, and enabling consistent understanding of strategy, operating model, milestones, and impact across Johnson & Johnson. The role directly supports the Chief Data Science Officer and Sr. Director, Strategy & Operations in strategic communications for leadership and enterprise forums.
Key Responsibilities- Drive enterprise-level storytelling and executive communications, spanning EC and Board materials, operating model deployment, and internal events, to consistently articulate strategy, progress, and performance against key milestones and metrics.
- Shape and maintain a cohesive internal strategy narrative for Data Science & Digital Health.
- Translate complex data science, AI, and digital health strategy into clear, executive-ready communications.
- Develop high-impact materials for Executive Committee and Board of Directors engagements.
- Support internal leadership communications, including town halls, strategy sessions, and enterprise updates.
- Communicate DSDH operating model, milestones, metrics, and progress with clarity and consistency.
- Partner closely with peers to ensure internal narratives reflect broader industry context alongside internal messaging.
- Develop and maintain internal stakeholder mapping to tailor communications and engagement strategies.
QualificationsRequired- Advanced degree (Master's preferred; PhD a plus) in Life Sciences, Computational Biology, Data Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, or advisory roles in healthcare, life sciences, or technology.
- Consulting background strongly preferred (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, or similar firms with digital or AI strategy practices).
- Strong biological and/or computational foundation enabling engagement with technical content.
- Exceptional executive communication, storytelling, and slide-crafting skills.
Preferred- Experience supporting senior leadership or Board-level communications.
- Familiarity with R&D, digital health, or advanced analytics organizations.
- Experience working in highly matrixed, enterprise environments.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :$164,000.00 - $282,900.00
