Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring Director Strategy Corporate Business Development to be Responsible for analysis of market and financial data and incorporating data science/data analytics and a thorough knowledge of technology and engineering to compile key market insights for use by senior management in meetings and discussions. Analyze key or emerging trends in AMD's core markets and formulate strategic response options. Identify new market opportunities where AMD could leverage its technologies and expertise to increase market coverage. Maintain technical expertise of AMD products and services to compare company's position in marketplace related to competitors. Define new market entry strategies and align with stakeholders. Regularly evaluate startup landscape to identify new technologies relevant to AMD and prepare investment cases for identified targets. Run annual long-range planning (LRP) exercise, including total available market (TAM) rollup, key topics and questions identification, special topics support. Analyze competitor and customer landscapes for AMD businesses, provide insights into competitors' moves, and propose competitive responses for AMD. Complete special projects and topics sponsored by AET members (e.g., TAM for AMD FAD day). Brief senior executives on key topics and enable growth opportunities in the 3 to 5-year time horizon. Drive annual long-range planning processes in partnership with business units, finance, and CEO's office. Collaborate with business units to surface and run business unit strategic initiatives. Serve as M&A transaction opportunity lead and key performer across all deal phases from discovery to integration.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering, investor/corporate strategy, or equity research analyst role.
Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering, investor/corporate strategy, or equity research analyst role.
