Summary of Position

The Director, Strategic Partnerships will lead the growth, retention, operational execution, and strategic expansion of Teladoc Health's commercial partnership relationships across employer benefit consultants, national brokers, health plans, healthcare engagement organizations, and other strategic channel partners. This role is responsible for developing and executing annual partner strategies, supporting national partnership agreements, communicating partner pricing and performance terms, advancing data sharing processes, leading partner education, supporting client retention, and identifying partner-influenced revenue opportunities. The Director will serve as a senior liaison between Teladoc Health and key partners, working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Clinical, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Implementation, Reporting, Data Science, Client Success, and Health Plan teams to advance shared business priorities, strengthen partner satisfaction, improve internal alignment, and support revenue and margin goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic, consultative leader with expert knowledge of the employer healthcare benefits ecosystem, strong commercial judgment, operational discipline, public speaking strength, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow strategic partner relationships with employee benefit consultants, and national brokers.
  • Develop and maintain annual partner strategies, operating calendars, forecasts, account maps, executive engagement plans, business reviews, and stewardship meetings.
  • Support national partnership agreements, including pricing, referral fees, performance guarantees, preferred terms, contract review, renewals, and execution in partnership with Legal, Finance, Sales, and leadership.
  • Establish and enhance partner data sharing processes, including partner warehouse requirements, partner presentations, and internal coordination with data, reporting, privacy, and operations teams.
  • Maintain and communicate national partnership terms, including referral fee eligibility, data sharing, performance guarantees, preferred pricing, partner matrix updates, and pricing revisions.
  • Build expert-level relationships across partner executive, regional, clinical, pharmacy, wellbeing, digital health, population health, analytics, account management, and local market teams.
  • Lead partner engagement through in-person events, consultant education, sales enablement sessions, webinars with partner subject matter experts, and client or prospect seminars.
  • Partner with Sales, Client Success, Health Plan owners, and other commercial leaders to support new business, renewals, expansions, RFP/RFI responses, prospect huddles, and partner-influenced pipeline.
  • Support client retention and account resolution efforts with BenCon involvement, including keep meetings, escalations, and follow-through with the appropriate internal owners.
  • Drive revenue growth, margin performance, and partner satisfaction while operating within company budget, pricing, contract, and compliance parameters.
  • Translate partner priorities, market feedback, consultant insights, competitive intelligence, and win/loss learnings into strategies that inform sales enablement, product positioning, commercialization, and market development.
  • Use reporting, analytics, Salesforce, scorecards, partner feedback, pipeline data, and book-of-business insights to assess performance, maintain data accuracy, and make fact-based recommendations.
  • Maintain Salesforce, SharePoint, Highspot, partner overviews, event tracking, partner communications, and Strategic Partnerships book-of-business resources.
  • Educate internal teams on BenCon partnerships, partner programs, market positioning, partnership requirements, and best practices.
  • Contribute to Strategic Partnerships team standards, operating processes, internal communications, project ownership, cross-functional workstreams, and internal marketing of the function.
  • Represent Teladoc Health in strategic partner meetings, national conferences, marketing-sponsored events, industry forums, consultant education sessions, and executive-level discussions.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of Teladoc Health products, employer benefits, healthcare purchasing, virtual care, chronic condition management, wellbeing, health plan dynamics, competitive landscape, and relevant market trends.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This role is expected to serve as a leader within the Strategic Partnerships team. Responsibilities may include mentoring associates or account executives, coordinating matrixed workstreams, contributing best practices in team meetings, leading cross-functional initiatives, developing team standards and processes, and representing Strategic Partnerships in senior internal and external forums. Direct people management responsibilities may include managing associate-level team members or other direct reports based on business needs and organizational structure.

Qualifications Expected for Position
  • 9-12 or more years of direct industry experience in strategic partnerships, employer benefits, benefits consulting, broker relations, healthcare sales, account management, channel development, or a related commercial healthcare role.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in business, public health, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Expert-level understanding of the employer healthcare benefits market, including consultants, brokers, health plans, employers, population health strategies, virtual care, chronic condition management, wellbeing, and digital health solutions.
  • Expert Teladoc Health product knowledge, with the ability to train partners, educate internal teams, and clarify product positioning in a way that is plain, differentiated, and market-ready.
  • Proven ability to manage complex strategic relationships, develop annual partner strategies, lead business reviews, and drive measurable revenue growth, retention, and partner satisfaction.
  • Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to build credibility, influence senior leaders, facilitate alignment, and lead consultative discussions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, public speaking, and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for internal and external audiences.
  • Strong strategic selling skills, including the ability to identify opportunities, shape partner strategy, negotiate within company parameters, and drive action across a matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical and process-driven mindset, including the ability to use data, reporting, Salesforce, scorecards, partner feedback, pipeline trends, and market insights to inform recommendations.
  • Demonstrated project ownership, change management, and process improvement skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with national consulting firms, regional brokers, health plans, or large employer clients.
  • Experience commercializing healthcare, virtual care, chronic condition management, wellbeing, or digital health solutions.
  • Experience developing partner strategy, executive briefings, consultant education, market feedback recaps, or partner-specific sales enablement materials.
  • Experience working in a remote, matrixed, high-growth, or technology-enabled healthcare environment.


The base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $125,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2026. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.

We follow a Flexible Vacation Policy, intended for rest, relaxation, and personal time. All time off must be approved by your manager prior to use. You will also receive 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave annually. This applies to full-time positions only.
