Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Advancement Engagement, the Director of Strategic Initiatives serves as a key partner in advancing the division's strategic priorities and operational effectiveness. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating high-priority initiatives, managing cross-functional projects, supporting divisional planning efforts, and ensuring alignment across Advancement Engagement's diverse portfolio of programs and services.
The Director works closely with the AVP and leadership team to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, monitor progress toward goals, facilitate collaboration across teams, and support the successful execution of complex initiatives. Serving as a central point of coordination within the division, the Director helps manage competing priorities, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, and foster stronger integration across engagement, philanthropy, communications, stewardship, volunteer engagement, and events.
This role partners extensively with colleagues throughout Institutional Advancement to advance divisional goals, strengthen constituent experiences, and support a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree.
* At least 6 (six) years of directly related experience in higher education advancement or non-profit management, project management, operations, communications or related field.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

* Strong organizational, analytical, facilitation, and project management skills.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
