Full Job Description
Overview

The Director, Strategic Activation connects growth strategy with commercial action, ensuring top growth initiatives lead to measurable business results. This role is part of the Growth & Strategy team and collaborates with senior brand and cross-functional leaders to advance commercial strategic priorities swiftly.

This leader functions at a strategic level rather than in a typical project management role. They connect priorities to business results, engage partners, support decision-making and action, and ensure important initiatives progress from idea to completion.

The ideal candidate combines strong business insight, critical thinking, organizational influence, operational understanding, and excellent follow-through. They thrive in ambiguity, can navigate complex cross-functional environments, and are passionate about turning strategy into results.

30% Strategy Translation - understanding and shaping priorities
50% Activation & Influence - driving alignment, accountability, decisions, and action
20% Program Management - governance, milestones, and progress tracking

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include setting clear goals, aligning teams, defining essential organizational structures and capabilities, driving implementation plans across departments, overcoming challenges, and making sure initiatives are launched effectively throughout the business.
  • Partner with Growth & Strategy and brand leadership to translate strategic priorities into actionable growth initiatives.
  • Develop implementation plans with clear milestones, ownership, timelines, success metrics, and accountability.
  • Define and establish the capabilities, resources, operating models, and structures needed to launch and scale strategic initiatives.
  • Drive cross-functional execution across Product, Marketing, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and HR to deliver business results.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and resource constraints to ensure successful execution.
  • Lead governance, decision-making processes, executive reviews, and strategic working sessions to maintain alignment and momentum.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights on progress, risks, opportunities, and business impact.
  • Build scalable tools, frameworks, and ways of working that foster accountability, transparency, and results-driven execution.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • 8+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, transformation, consulting, PMO leadership, or related disciplines.
  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy development through execution and results delivery.
  • Strong ability to influence and partner with senior executives and stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Demonstrated capability to translate ambiguous business challenges into actionable plans, measurable outcomes, and sustainable solutions.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, business acumen, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong project and program leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and executive presence, with the ability to lead through influence rather than authority.
  • Deep understanding of business operations, go-to-market processes, and organizational dynamics within consumer brands, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
