Description

Reporting to the Senior Director of Account Management, the Director of Strategic Accounts will be responsible for executing comprehensive engagement strategies and tactical plans to establish favorable payer and alternate site of care coverage and remove reimbursement barriers for Viridian's portfolio of products. Key strategic customers include national commercial and government payers, key regional payers, and national and regional alternate sites of care.

This role is fully remote. Travel to headquarters for meetings may be required at the discretion of management.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive account management strategy and alignment with Viridians goals for patient access
• Develop strategic and tactical account engagement plans to maximize access and reimbursement for launch products
• Leverage existing and establish relationships at strategic payer accounts to communicate the value proposition of launch products
• Create strategic partnerships and collaborative relationships with alternate sites of care
• Serve as lead point of contact with sales, patient services, and reimbursement access functions for assigned strategic accounts
• Review and analyze contract performance and communicate account performance broadly with key internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with sales, field reimbursement, marketing, medical and regulatory teams to identify customer needs and opportunities, ensuring that all interactions are consistent, value driven, and aligned with Viridian's priorities
• Identify insights from strategic accounts, assess competitive landscape and the regulatory environment to bring strategic recommendations. Share insights with leadership and brand teams to influence the direction of marketing strategies
• Oversee the negotiation of contracts with strategic accounts ensuring terms are mutually beneficial and aligned with company goals.
• Deliver value proposition and Health Care Economic Information to educate payers, formulary decision makers and similar stakeholders on product and economic benefit
• Represent the company at industry conferences, meetings and events, building the Viridian reputation as a leader in the biotech space
• Lead/contribute to special projects, as assigned to drive operational performance improvements and enhance business opportunities
• Exercise sound judgement and oversight to ensure integrity and compliance with Company policies in all activities and communications

Requirements
• Requires a bachelor's degree with 10+years of previous payer, market access, or healthcare reimbursement experience including pharmacy and medical benefit products
• Successful product launch experience in the US
• Proven credibility in gaining access to key decision makers and influencers
• Demonstrated negotiation and contracting skills
• Strong understanding of commercial, Medicare and Medicaid managed care processes
• Strong financial, analytical, account management skills with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed goals and objectives
• Self-motivated and collaborative team player with strong leadership, networking and communication skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a highly dynamic environment with a high level of urgency
• Strong commitment to ethical standards
• Ability to travel 50%

• The salary range for this position is commensurate with experience
