Job Summary:
The Director of Specialty Clinics and Services is responsible for operational oversight and development of high quality, cost effective, and integrated hospital specialty clinics and outpatient procedural services. Monitors and evaluates quality of clinical care, service performance, staffing and cost effectiveness of care delivery process across the value chain.

The Director will exercise leadership and management responsibility over all operational functions within this portfolio ensuring effective and efficient services designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians and providers, the community and staff in collaboration with the hospital, ambulatory operations and physician leadership team and in accordance with the hospital and ambulatory practice's objectives, policies and procedures. The Director is responsible for the development, coaching and engagement of clinic managers/supervisors within their portfolio to achieve annual leadership and performance goals.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A minimum of five years healthcare supervision & management experience is required.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Joint Commission, patient safety, and nursing practice experience is preferred. Clinical education, clinical experience or leadership experience in Practice Management, Medical Specialty or Ambulatory Service with administrative and business competencies to responsibly manage the human, material and financial resources is preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree is required (Nursing, Business or healthcare related field is preferred).

EDUCATION PREFERRED: Master's Degree is preferred.

TRAINING REQUIRED: None.

TRAINING PREFERRED: None.

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Demonstrated leadership with an ability to focus on the macro and micro environment is required. Demonstrated process improvement competency and outcomes is required. Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills are required to work effectively at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to facilitate and lead in a matrix environment.
