Job Description:- Oversee the Risk Management Operations department daily functions to include local oversight of the Risk Management Information System, loss control initiatives, serious safety event management and assisting with claim management related activities as requested by AdventHealth Corporate Services Risk Management.
- Development of the Risk Management Plan for the region and identify high risk areas for risk reduction strategies to reduce the costs associated with claims and litigation.
- Regular reporting of claims, lawsuits and risk reduction initiatives to the Hospital and Medical Group leadership.
- A 5-Year Claims Analysis shall be provided annually to the leadership and Board of Directors.
- Provide risk analysis on strategic initiatives in the region in the clinical, operational & strategic, credentialing, human capital, financial, legal & regulatory, technology and reputation domains.
- Perform the duties of the PSO Liaison for the region, managing the Patient Safety Evaluation System (PSES) and components within.
- Ensure PSQIA protections are applied where appropriate and prevent unauthorized disclosure of Patient Safety Work Product (PSWP).
- Development of short- and long-range objectives for the Risk Management department and provide an annual evaluation of the program.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with hospital and Medical Group leadership, Legal, Compliance to support regional initiatives and reduce organizational risks.
- Provide required data for the annual actuarial report, excess insurance application and Division of Insurance filings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of insurance, workers' compensation, HPL, GL claims management, and state/federal hospital-related reporting requirements. [Required]
Education:Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:Healthcare related field
Work Experience:2+ years of experience in managerial / leadership role [Required]
2+ years of Risk Management, Quality and Patient Safety experience [Required]

- Bachelor's and 2+ years of Risk Management, Quality and Patient Safety experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:• Registered Nurse (RN) [Preferred]
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) [Preferred]

Pay Range:$110,260.80 - $205,088.00
