The Director of Repair Vendor Management is a strategic leadership role responsible for optimizing and scaling a global network of repair partners supporting device lifecycle services. This leader will drive vendor strategy, operational performance, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction across a high-volume repair ecosystem. Working cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and key enterprise customers, the Director will ensure vendor partners consistently deliver against quality, service, capacity, and financial objectives.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Vendor Strategy & Network Leadership
- Define and execute the repair vendor strategy to support business growth, customer commitments, and profitability goals
- Build, evaluate, onboard, and manage a high-performing network of repair partners across multiple OEMs and service programs
- Develop scalable capacity plans to support volume growth, seasonal demand, and new program launches
Performance & Operational Excellence
- Own vendor performance against key metrics including throughput, turnaround time (TAT), quality, yield, and cost per repair
- Establish standardized reporting, governance, and performance management processes across the repair network
- Lead regular business reviews and drive accountability through data-driven performance management
Cost & Financial Management
- Deliver sustainable cost reductions while improving quality and service levels
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and vendor commercial relationships
- Partner with Supply Chain and Engineering to implement innovative cost-saving initiatives, including alternative parts and repair methodologies
Customer & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the executive liaison for repair performance, capacity planning, and operational delivery with key customers, including Tier 1 carriers
- Align vendor capabilities with customer KPIs, SLAs, and contractual requirements
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Program Management, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless execution
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Drive standardization, process optimization, and operational scalability across vendor partners
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to capacity, quality, supply constraints, and vendor performance
- Champion analytics, automation, and emerging repair technologies to improve network efficiency and service outcomes
What are the requirements needed for this position?- 10+ years of experience in vendor management, supply chain, reverse logistics, repair operations, or related fields
- Proven success leading large-scale, multi-site vendor networks in high-volume operational environments
- Strong financial acumen with a track record of delivering cost savings and operational improvements
- Experience managing customer-facing relationships with enterprise clients or Tier 1 partners
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, analytical, and executive communication skills
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?- Experience within device repair, refurbishment, reverse logistics, or lifecycle services
- Demonstrated ability to scale complex operations while improving quality, service, and profitability
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer organizations

Pay Range:
$122,400.00 - $204,400.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
