Full Job Description
Summary
Serves as a key resource and provides government reimbursement support; develops/implements related payment strategies across the network. Oversees the preparation and review of the annual Medicare/Medicaid cost reports filings. Provides guidance related to participation in state-level supplemental payment programs and assists with regulatory research.

Job Duties
  • Provides expertise in DSH, IME, DME, wage index, geographic reclass, value-based purchasing, and other government payment systems.
  • Resolves any cost report audit issues and ensures compliance with Medicare and Medicaid reporting requirements.
  • Provides constructive feedback to staff and identifies learning opportunities and job assignments that expand staff experience.
  • Ensures accurate and timely preparation of the Medicare and Medicaid cost reports and other government data submissions.
  • Participates in annual operating budget preparation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance, or Health Administration.
  • 10 years Interpreting Medicare and Medicaid payment regulations and optimizing revenue.
  • Demonstrates ability to use the computer system and all applicable software programs.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulation and payment rules.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
