Director, Regional Sourcing - North America (NA)

Position Summary

The Director, Regional Sourcing - North America will oversee select GNFR (Goods Not for Resale) procurement activities, managing agreements of less than US $5 million across the North American business in alignment with the global sourcing operating model.

The role is accountable for sourcing, supplier management, compliance, and operational excellence across GNFR smaller spend contracts. This leader will drive transformation, harmonize procurement processes, foster strong stakeholder alignment, and ensure the region contributes effectively to global efficiency, resilience, and value-creation targets.

This role will also play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future state of procurement in North America through the design and execution of procurement transformation initiatives and operating model evolution. The successful candidate will establish and scale regional procurement capabilities and teams while building sustainable ways of working across a complex matrix environment. Success in this role requires a highly proactive and entrepreneurial leader who is comfortable operating with ambiguity, navigating grey areas, influencing without extensive structure or support, and creating clarity, momentum, and results in an evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and execute the GNFR procurement strategy for the North American region, aligned with global procurement priorities for spend less than US$5 million
  • Serve as the senior procurement representative for NA for spend less than US$5 million, ensuring the region's needs, risks, and opportunities are integrated into global strategies.
  • Lead governance across GNFR categories, ensuring policy adherence, spend control, and operational discipline.
  • Oversee sourcing pipelines, and supplier negotiations across maintenance, equipment, services, logistics, supplies, facility services, and other GNFR categories for smaller spend contracts and suppliers.
  • Deliver competitive sourcing events ensuring optimized total cost of ownership, quality, and service levels.
  • Develop and refine multi-year category roadmaps supporting business growth, market dynamics, and efficiency goals.
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships at regional and national levels.
  • Ensure structured performance management, SLA governance, risk monitoring, and supplier development programs.
  • Align supplier strategies with ESG, compliance, and business continuity priorities.
  • Ensure excellence throughout the Source-to-Pay cycle, partnering with global CoE, P2P, Compliance, Contract Management, and Sourcing Desk teams.
  • Drive standardization, catalog optimization, invoice accuracy, and process digitization across the region.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to NA leadership teams (Operations, Real Estate, IT, Marketing, Logistics, and Finance).
  • Lead regional change management linked to transformation initiatives, with special focus on P2P and contract lifecycle mgt roll out.
  • Support integration and synergy capture during acquisitions and operational model changes.
  • Build and lead a high-performing regional procurement team with clear development paths and KPIs.


Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive procurement leadership experience.
  • Master's degree in business and economics, specializing in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Strong GNFR procurement background across multiple categories.
  • Demonstrated success in supplier management and delivering measurable financial improvements.
  • Expertise in Source-to-Pay processes and procurement systems.
  • Very strong commercial mindset and documented results in driving commercial value.
  • Very strong stakeholder management and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience of working in global environment with complex matrixes and global support functions such as Center of Excellence, global category teams and business units.
  • Experience with procurement transformation programs.
  • Experience establishing & leading large-scale NA procurement teams.
