Full Job Description
The duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Reviewing and processing employee requests for reasonable accommodation in accordance with criteria established by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and applicable laws. - Making determinations related to the reasonable accommodation process and providing guidance and support to the Assistant Commissioner, Office of Equal Employment Opportunity. - Drafting official correspondence related to accommodation requests. - Coordinating meetings to review and discuss accommodation requests. - Preparing and generating reports to track accommodation activity. - Ensuring all tracking systems are accurate, current, and properly maintained. - Managing records associated with accommodation requests to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of all documentation. - Delivering workforce training focused on reasonable accommodation policies and procedures. - Assisting employees and managers in understanding their rights and responsibilities regarding reasonable accommodations within the Department. - Ensuring compliance with Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) and EEOC laws, rules, and regulations. EXECUTIVE AGENCY COUNSEL - 95005 Qualifications Admission to the New York State Bar; and four years of recent full-time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience subsequent to admission to any bar, eighteen months of which must have been in the supervision of other attorneys, in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity, or performing highly complex and significant legal work. Incumbents must remain Members of the New York State Bar in good standing for the duration of this employment.
