Position Description:

The Director of Quality Engineering (QE) will lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale Quality Engineering program, overseeing 150+ resources across multiple workstreams and enterprise applications. This role is accountable for defining and executing the overall quality strategy, governance model, and delivery framework, ensuring alignment with enterprise delivery timelines, release schedules, and business priorities.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong program delivery expertise, QE transformation experience, and the ability to partner with client executives and senior stakeholders to drive quality outcomes, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

QE Program Leadership:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale QE initiative comprising 150+ resources across multiple workstreams and applications..
- Define and execute the overall quality strategy, governance framework, and delivery model for the program..
- Ensure alignment with enterprise delivery timelines, release schedules, and business priorities.
Delivery & Operational Excellence.
- Drive consistent quality outcomes, test coverage, and defect prevention across all projects..
- Establish strong quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms for executive stakeholders..
- Ensure delivery adherence to SLAs, productivity targets, and continuous improvement goals.
Transformation & Automation.
- Lead initiatives to modernize testing through test automation, continuous testing, and DevOps integration.
- Drive adoption of test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and shift-left testing practices..
- Introduce innovative tools and methodologies to improve speed, efficiency, and quality outcomes.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement.
- Act as the primary QE leader for client executives and senior stakeholders..
- Provide regular updates on quality performance, risk management, and program health.. Collaborate with technology, product, and delivery leaders to proactively mitigate risks and resolve issues.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Core Experience & Leadership

- 15+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Testing, or Technology Delivery, with 8+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven success leading large-scale QE programs (100+ resources) across multiple workstreams and enterprise applications.
- Strong program leadership skills, including governance, risk management, financial oversight, and executive reporting.
- Extensive experience working in client-facing or large enterprise environments, engaging senior executives.

Quality Engineering & Transformation Expertise

- Deep expertise in QE strategy, enterprise testing models, and quality governance frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to drive test automation, continuous testing, CI/CD integration, and DevOps adoption.
- Strong understanding of Agile, SAFe, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of modern test automation tools, frameworks, and innovation-led quality practices.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120,000 - $170,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
