Job Description:

The Director, Project Management plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the delivery of complex client programs and strategic initiatives. This individual is responsible for driving project execution, establishing effective governance, managing risks and resources, and ensuring alignment between project outcomes and business objectives.

Working closely with senior leaders, clients, and cross-functional teams, the Director provides direction throughout the project lifecycle, fostering collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence. This role reports directly to the Group SVP, Client Operations & Delivery and serves as a key partner to senior client and agency stakeholders in delivering high-impact business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional projects and programs, ensuring objectives are achieved within scope, timeline, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Establish project governance, decision-making structures, and reporting frameworks that drive accountability, transparency, and effective execution.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, resource requirements, budgets, risks, dependencies, and change management processes.
  • Partner with project sponsors and business stakeholders to support business case development, track performance against objectives, and drive the realization of expected business benefits.
  • Manage project financials, including budgets, forecasts, resource allocation, and cost controls, providing regular updates and recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and expectations while fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment across client teams, agency teams, and business leaders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities, escalating critical matters and facilitating resolution as needed.
  • Develop communication strategies and executive-level reporting that provide visibility into project status, key milestones, business impact, and overall delivery performance.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 10+ years of project or program management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, forecasts, resources, and operational deliverables.
  • Strong knowledge of project governance, planning methodologies, dependency management, and risk management practices.
  • Experience partnering with senior leadership, executive stakeholders, and client teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading projects from initiation through implementation in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience influencing and driving alignment across multiple stakeholder groups without direct authority.
  • Proficiency with project management tools, reporting systems, and business planning processes.


Additional Information

The annual salary range for this position is $114,475-$180,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.

Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.

Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.
