Director, Product Manager to join our Group Protection Portfolio Enablement team in a remote or hybrid environment, depending on your proximity to one of our key cities.
Background Details
As the Director - Product Manager, you will lead a team of 6 product owners and business analysts, with 3 being direct reports, who drive the execution of our Digital (Web/Mobile) strategy across Group Protection. You will work directly with the Digital Business Stakeholders/Portfolio Owners to understand business needs and priorities and ultimately translate those opportunities to requirements for technical execution teams. What you'll be doing- You will lead a vital team in an environment that is constantly changing by empowering them to proactively challenge what they do each day. Provide training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and give honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent. You will direct and evaluate individual/team performance and take appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards.
- You will be responsible for working closely with the AVP - Product Manager and corresponding portfolio owners across Group Protection Sales, Distribution, Account Management, and Digital organizations to gain insight into opportunities related to Lincoln's Digital platforms.
- You will be accountable to translate business opportunities into business solutions for execution after supporting the creation of approved business cases with your portfolio owners. You will also provide consultation on emerging opportunities based on your in-depth knowledge of internal and external feedback into the solutions in your domain.
- You will own the Digital backlog and roadmap, manage cross-team dependencies and play a significant role in quarterly planning cycles for delivery execution. You will also partner closely with I/T to deliver upon quarterly roadmaps and committed objectives.
- You will maintain knowledge on current and emerging development/trends to assess and collaborate with senior management to incorporate new trends into current and future strategy execution.

You will direct and evaluate departmental performance and take appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards.
What we're looking forMust-have experience (Required):
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's).
- 7+ Years related experience in Project Management or a product-related role within a development team that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience.
- 3+ Years experience as a product owner in an Agile software development environment.
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal/external clients with proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
- Ability to think critically, analyze information, evaluate benefit vs. cost, and be comfortable making prioritization judgements in a fast-paced environment
- Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-have experience (Preferred):
- 10+ years of insurance industry experience directly related to this position
- Group Protection/Benefits Experience
- Managing within an agile framework
- Digital experience

The pay range for this position is $96,900 - $176,200 with
anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
