Basic FunctionThe Director of Product Insights is responsible for shaping and operationalizing the strategic direction of the Insights function in alignment with the broader Product strategy. This position leads a multidisciplinary team of data scientists and researchers, drives enterprise-wide analytics initiatives, and collaborates closely with executive leadership and across teams to influence product, marketing, and business strategies. The Director is a confident leader who champions a culture of data-driven decision-making and empowers teams with actionable insights.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:- Define and deliver the strategic roadmap for the Insights function, aligning priorities with Lumin Digital's business and product objectives.
- Advise and partner with executive leadership across Product, Marketing, CX, Design, and Engineering to integrate data and research into long-term strategic decisions.
- Lead cross-functional analytics and research programs that identify high-value opportunities, optimize customer experiences, and mitigate risks through continuous monitoring of user engagement, product performance, and behavioral trends.
- Oversee the design and governance of enterprise-wide KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to measure customer experience, product outcomes, and market trends.
- Champion the voice of the customer by synthesizing qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior decision-makers.
- Build, scale, and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team of data scientists, analysts, and researchers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Manage operational budgets, vendor relationships, and analytics tools to ensure cost-effective and scalable insights capabilities.
- Ensure data governance, ethical analytics practices, and compliance standards are embedded across all insights activities.
- Advance research and analytics methodologies by adopting innovative tools, techniques, and approaches that enhance decision-making across the enterprise.
- Lead high-impact, multi-phase initiatives from concept through delivery, ensuring measurable outcomes and alignment with organizational strategy

Position SpecificationsEducation: - Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business, or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
Experience:- 8 years of progressive experience in data analytics, data science, or user research, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing multidisciplinary insights teams required.
- Proven track record of translating data and research into executive-level strategic recommendations that drive business and product outcomes.
- Experience working in SaaS, fintech, or digital platforms, with demonstrated success influencing product development and customer experience strategies through insights is required.
- Prior experience leading enterprise-wide KPI frameworks, experimentation models, or behavioral analytics programs in a cross-functional environment is preferred.
- Hands-on experience managing vendor relationships, tooling budgets, and analytics platforms such as Looker, Fullstory, Pendo, SQL, or similar is required.
- Experience implementing enterprise applications for external customers and expertise in user testing methodologies and research strategies are preferred.

- Mastery of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including experimental design, usability testing, and behavioral analytics.
- Proven ability to design, lead, and operationalize end-to-end insights programs that influence enterprise-wide decision-making.
- Strong change-leadership skills, with the ability to build cross-functional alignment around data-driven strategies.
- High business acumen and the ability to balance technical depth with market and customer understanding.
- Skilled at mentoring and developing high-performing teams in analytics, research, and data science.
- Demonstrated ability to guide end-to-end user research programs (qualitative and quantitative) and synthesize findings into scalable decision-making tools.
Travel: $220,000 - $240,000 a year
