Job Purpose:The Director, Procurement Systems and Operations is responsible for defining and executing procurement strategies to support business priorities, ensure cost effectiveness, optimize quality and supplier performance, mitigate risk, and maintain compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. This role provides senior leadership across sourcing, supplier management, and procurement governance while partnering closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, and business leadership to deliver sustainable value.
What You'll Do: (job responsibilities)- Define and lead procurement strategy aligned with business and financial objectives.
- Create internal policies, governance standards, and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Oversee strategic supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and performance management.
- Own and deliver annual procurement value targets (hard savings, cost avoidance, and working-capital improvements), aligned to the operating plan and validated with Finance.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, Cybersecurity, IT, and Operations to standardize intake, validate business terms, obtain approvals, and ensure timely completion of procurement steps.
- Accountable for procurement-related budget within assigned scope, including vendor contracts and sourcing initiatives.
- Establish consistent controls for savings measurement and reporting, including baseline methodology, approvals, and tracking of savings, avoidance, leakage, and realized versus expected results.
- Perform spend analysis, benchmark pricing, track savings, avoidance, and total cost of ownership by category or business unit.
- Identify process improvements that reduce cycle time, improve controls, and increase procurement efficiency.
- Lead RFPs, RFQs, competitive bids, and sourcing events from intake through award recommendation.
- Contribute to business continuity planning by creating alternate sourcing options and supply disruption mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with other Sony divisions to identify synergies in procurement strategy and activities.
Who You Are: (skills and experience required)- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
- 5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience
- Extensive experience leading strategic sourcing, contract management, and legal contract negotiations across complex supplier landscapes to optimize cost, value, and risk.
- Deep knowledge of business operations and financial drivers, translating business objectives into clear procurement priorities and sourcing strategies.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing procurement teams.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable procurement outcomes, including realized cost savings, increased contract value, and quantifiable cost-avoidance initiatives.
- Ability to influence senior executive stakeholders and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proven capability to establish and operate effective procurement governance, risk management, compliance, and policy frameworks, including timely escalation and resolution of material financial, legal, and operational risks.
- Project management skills to lead sourcing events, onboarding, policy rollouts, and transformation workstreams.

DISCLAIMER:The anticipated annual base salary for this position is:
$113,300.00-$161,800.00
This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
