We are currently seeking a Director, Platforms & Partnerships to join our Media Operations & Engineering team based in our New York, NY offices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner Launches & Platform Operations
  • Partner-facing lead for onboarding, launches, and product expansion across AMC Global Media (fka AMC Networks) branded services, ensuring operational readiness and strong execution across SVOD, TVOD, TVE, and FVOD workflows.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for platform and distribution partners (e.g., Amazon, Apple, Philo, Roku, Comcast, DirecTV, Dish/Sling, etc.), aligning internal and external stakeholders on scope, timelines, dependencies, and launch requirements.
  • Oversee day-to-day partner distribution operations, ensuring content, metadata, artwork, and related deliverables meet platform-specific technical and business requirements.
  • Track business-as-usual deliveries, backfill needs, and launch packages across internal teams, vendors, and transport providers (e.g. Comcast Technology Solutions - CTS) to maintain continuity and service quality.

Cross-Functional Execution & Governance
  • Partner with GT&O, Affiliate Sales, Ad Ops, Content Licensing, Finance, Multiplatform Scheduling, and other key stakeholders to define launch roadmaps, assess scope, and align resources to business priorities.
  • Assess partner technical requirements, delivery specifications, and workflow impacts to determine level of effort, operational feasibility, and implementation approach.
  • Establish, document, and improve scalable processes, readiness frameworks, and communication models that support repeatable, high-quality execution across brands and partners.
  • Liaise with internal teams to clarify contractual obligations, define service expectations, and ensure partner-facing commitments translate into actionable operational plans.

Issue Management, SLAs & Performance Reporting
  • Lead issue triage and troubleshooting for platform launches and VOD & streaming services, using operational tools and structured workflows to prioritize incidents and drive timely resolution.
  • Oversee incident management in ServiceNow, Jira, and related systems for AMC Entertainment branded assets, direct-to-consumer services, and partner-distributed brands.
  • Track and report on partner and internal service level agreements, operational metrics, and launch performance indicators to improve accountability and inform decision-making.
  • Partner with Finance to monitor delivery volumes, cost drivers, and budget impacts across SVOD, AVOD, and FVOD operations.

Leadership, Team Development & Growth
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, providing direction, prioritization, and support across launches, operational problem-solving, and partner engagement.
  • Support international expansion, as needed, and evolving platform partnerships by adapting workflows, coordinating regional requirements, and ensuring operational readiness for growth.
  • Serve as a partner-facing operational leader across AMCGM brands including AMC/AMC+, BBCA, IFC, SundanceTV, WEtv, Shudder, SundanceNow, Acorn TV, ALLBLK, HIDVE, and related services.
  • Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives for department leadership, helping strengthen partner operations and long-term scalability.


QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in media operations, platform operations, digital distribution, media supply chain, or related areas within media and entertainment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional launches and ongoing operational support across SVOD, TVOD, FVOD, MVPD/vMVPD and MSO delivery workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of video-on-demand ecosystems, metadata, digital asset delivery, and media file specifications.
  • Experience using operational and business tools such as Microsoft Office, ServiceNow, Workday, Oracle, ADP, Jira, Airtable, Power BI, and content management systems.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to prioritize across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Proven people leadership experience, including managing and developing teams in a fast-paced operational environment.

Preferred
  • Experience supporting international platform launches or region-specific distribution workflows.
  • Background working with branded streaming services, partner onboarding, and multi-brand distribution environments, including FAST & AVOD workflows.
  • Experience with SLA reporting, operational metrics, and budget or volume tracking in partnership with Finance.
  • Familiarity with launch governance, supply chain process improvement, and partner-facing issue escalation models.


The base compensation for this position is $130,000 - $165,000 commensurate with experience.
