  • Serve as escalation point for supplier or category issues that carry material business, quality, or reputational risk, looping in the Procurement Leadership Team on matters of enterprise-level significance.

3. Category Strategy & Business Planning
  • Own the multi-year Plasma category strategy across direct and indirect spend (collection equipment, consumables, facilities, logistics, technology, and professional services), and associated Supply Chain strategies, integrating procurement perspectives into Plasma's budgeting, forecasting, and strategic prioritization.
  • Set and deliver annual and long-range savings, total-cost-of-ownership, and value-creation targets for the category, tracked against enterprise procurement KPIs.
  • Ensure category strategies remain responsive to market dynamics, network growth (new center openings, expansions), and evolving regulatory requirements.

4. Supplier Strategy, Supplier Management, Risk & Resilience
  • Provide oversight and final accountability for supplier strategy across the Plasma category, ensuring alignment with business needs, risk appetite, and compliance requirements (including cGMP/FDA-relevant considerations for collection consumables and equipment).

  • Benchmark category performance against industry best practice and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance speed, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Sponsor cross-functional transformation projects that materially improve Plasma's procurement maturity.

6. Governance, Performance Reporting & Compliance
  • Own performance tracking and executive reporting of category KPIs, savings delivery, and risk posture to the CPO and Plasma leadership team.
  • Ensure category strategies and sourcing activity comply with company policy, ethical sourcing standards, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Represent Plasma Procurement in enterprise-wide Procurement governance forums and audits.
