Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, Pension Investments, the Director is responsible for strategic oversight, governance, funding, and risk management of our Company's global benefits plans. Supporting our Company's Management Pension Investments Committee (MPIC) as part of our Company's Treasury organization, the Pension Investments team provides oversight for $40B of global retirement income assets.
Responsibilities
Recommend investment strategies for domestic defined benefit and defined contribution portfolios
Select and monitor investment managers and external advisors
For our Company's ex-US plans, provide guidance and drive alignment with stakeholders including local Finance and HR, trustees, consultants, and MPIC
Partner with HR and Benefits Finance to evaluate the impact of plan design decisions on investment strategy
Collaborate with other Treasury colleagues to evaluate funding decisions
Manage risks associated with the Company’s $500M deferred compensation hedging program
Assess and communicate implications of market, regulatory, and industry developments to fiduciaries and broader Finance organization.
Education
BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting
Advanced degrees and/or certifications such as MBA, CFA or CPA considered a plus
Required Experience and Skills
Minimum of 8 years of Corporate Finance experience
Experience managing pension assets, selecting and overseeing investment managers, evaluating investment performance, and developing funding strategies for defined benefit and defined contribution plans
Understanding of pension accounting, asset-liability management, and market risks
Ability to work independently and accurately under time constraints
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and modeling
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build internal and external relationships
