Position Overview

The Director, Payer Enablement is responsible for developing and articulating the narrative that defines our payer strategy, market positioning, and long-term vision. This role translates complex business priorities, clinical initiatives, payer strategies, and operational capabilities into clear, compelling stories that resonate with internal and external stakeholders.

Working cross-functionally across executive leadership, product, commercial, clinical, payer, and marketing teams, this individual ensures the organization communicates a consistent and differentiated strategic message to payers. The role combines strategic thinking, healthcare industry expertise, and executive-level communication skills to shape how the company is understood in the market.

The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare industry knowledge, exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, and experience synthesizing complex information into persuasive narratives that drive alignment, engagement, and market confidence.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Own and continuously evolve the enterprise strategic payer narrative
  • Establish a clear, differentiated market position that aligns clinical value, economic impact, and operational capabilities into a cohesive story
  • Serve as the central architect of the payer value proposition, ensuring alignment across asset, portfolio, and corporate strategy levels
  • Translate healthcare trends, market dynamics, and company priorities into compelling payer messaging
  • Influence and enable go-to-market execution, ensuring payer strategy narratives are translated into practical tools, messaging, and guidance for field teams and account leaders
  • Guide payer-facing thought leadership and external engagement strategy, shaping how the organization communicates innovation, outcomes, and value in formal payer interactions, partnerships, and other industry forums.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to communicate vision, differentiation, and business impact
  • Lead cross-functional planning and alignment across Marketing, HEOR, Sales, Payer, Product, Customer Experience, and Medical to ensure payer strategy is consistently embedded in brand plans, go-to-market execution, and customer engagement models.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
  • Ability to travel 25% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, marketing or technology related field.
  • 12+ years of progressively responsible experience within sales, account management, or marketing specific to health systems payers.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Salary Range:

$210,000.00 -- $250,000.00

The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible.
