OverviewAbout This Position: The Paid Search Director leads the process and people who work within Paid Search. They will work closely with the Group Director, Performance Media to help oversee the development and execution of large-scale paid search strategies. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with technical awareness, as well as experience in managing and leading teams. They will also be a self-motivated leader who is able to work independently and take initiative. In addition, the Paid Search Director will be able to present their findings and recommendations to clients and internal teams in a clear and concise manner.
This role is based in our Dallas office with no exceptions.
What You'll Do: - Develop and execute paid search strategies for our clients
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to client teams
- Manage a team of Paid Search Managers and Associate Managers
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the paid search team
- Analyze large sets of performance data and track against KPIs
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in paid search advertising
- Provide leadership/ training for clients and employees, builds teamwork, and develops staff
- Manage stewardship and proper accountability (i.e., budget, tracking reports, optimization, allocations, scheduling, incremental recommendations, Point of Views (POV), merchandising and success measures)
- Seek new and creatives opportunities to meet client objectives
- Foster a creative/testing/ and accountability-oriented environment
- Build strong relationships with media vendors/rep community, along with internal teams
- Work closely with other department leads to maintain integration among all disciplines
What You Bring: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Paid Search. Advertising Agency experience highly preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree
Skills and Abilities: Must have strong organizational, verbal/written communication and managerial skills to delegate effectively. The ability to distill technical and complicated search concepts to a general audience is critical. The individual must also have strong leadership skills and demonstrate the ability to change, build, and structure new programs. Must be a strategic thinker who embraces innovation in Paid Search. Must have technical knowledge and the analytical skills to dissect large sets of data, spot
trends, and also troubleshoot issues. Must maintain a balanced perspective of the workload to accommodate client needs while maintaining positive morale within the group. Must provide mentorship to all levels within the team and look for opportunities to gain visibility for the team within the agency.
