Job Summary:

The Director, Oracle ERP is responsible for leading the strategy, governance, operational effectiveness, and ongoing support of BDO's Oracle ERP application. This role ensures the ERP platform is stable, secure, scalable, supportable, and aligned to enterprise business priorities. The Director works closely with business, technology, vendor, and Oracle teams to support reliable end-to-end business processes, resolve escalated issues, plan for platform capabilities, and maximize the value of BDO's Oracle investment. The role also provides direct people management for ERP product managers and technical leaders, including coaching, performance management, capacity planning, prioritization, and development of team capabilities.

Job Duties:
  • Provides strategic leadership and direction for the Oracle Fusion ERP platform, including product strategy, platform stability, application governance, and long-term roadmap execution
  • Establishes and maintains product ownership practices for ERP applications, including roadmap management, backlog prioritization, business case evaluation, release planning, and alignment to enterprise objectives
  • Leads ERP support operations including ticket intake, triage, prioritization, escalation management, root cause analysis, incident resolution, service level performance, and continuous improvement
  • Oversees the intake and resolution of ERP escalations, ensuring critical issues are appropriately triaged, tracked, and communicated to executive leadership with clear status, risks, decisions, and resolution plans
  • Partners with business leaders, functional stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors to ensure ERP capabilities, enhancements, integrations, reporting, security, and data quality support business priorities
  • Uses support data, backlog trends, stakeholder input, and operational metrics to identify recurring issues, prioritize stabilization efforts, and define continuous improvement plans
  • Drives standardization and adoption of support procedures, product management disciplines, operational metrics, and knowledge management practices across the ERP environment
  • Monitors application health, service trends, risk indicators, and delivery performance to proactively identify improvement opportunities and mitigate risks to business operations
  • Maintains awareness of Oracle Fusion releases, capabilities, and vendor roadmap direction to assess business impact, support adoption, and reduce unnecessary customization where appropriate
  • Builds and maintains a strategic relationship with Oracle across accounts, product, support, and customer success teams to manage escalations, improve issue resolution, and maximize value from platform investments
  • Provides oversight for ERP implementation, stabilization, optimization, and major transformation initiatives, including scope management, risk mitigation, readiness planning, adoption, and post-release support
  • Oversees the ERP product lifecycle and data governance considerations to support end-to-end business processes, improve process consistency, and maintain data quality, reporting reliability, reconciliation, and operational controls
  • Partners with security, compliance, audit, and technology teams, and manages vendor and implementation partner performance to maintain access controls, segregation of duties, change governance, regulatory compliance, delivery quality, and stakeholder readiness through training and communication
  • Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Directly manages ERP product managers and technical leaders, including coaching and performance management
  • Leads ERP team capacity planning, hiring, onboarding, and capability development

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering, required
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Technology Management, preferred

Experience:
  • Ten (10) or more years of progressive experience leading, implementing, supporting, or optimizing enterprise ERP applications, required
  • Five (5) or more years of leadership experience managing ERP product, application, functional, technical, support, or delivery teams, required
  • Five (5) or more years of people leadership experience, including team oversight, coaching, and performance management, required
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP or a comparable enterprise ERP platform, including Finance, Procurement, Projects, HCM, integrations, reporting, security, and support processes, required
  • Experience establishing and leading ERP product management practices, including roadmap development, backlog prioritization, release planning, governance forums, and executive reporting routines, required
  • Experience overseeing ERP support operations, including intake, triage, incident management, escalation management, and service performance, required
  • Experience partnering with business process owners, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align ERP capabilities with business processes, reporting needs, operational controls, and enterprise priorities, required
  • Experience managing vendors, implementation partner, and Oracle relationships in support of ERP delivery, issue resolution, and platform performance, required
  • Experience supporting ERP implementation, stabilization, optimization, or transformation initiatives in a complex enterprise environment, required
  • Experience with ERP security, access controls, segregation of duties, audit support, data governance, reporting reliability, and compliance-related processes, preferred
  • Experience in a professional service, consulting, shared services, or matrixed enterprise environment, preferred


License/Certifications:
  • Oracle Cloud Applications, Oracle ERP, Oracle Fusion, ITIL, PMP, Agile, Scrum, or product management certification, preferred

Software:
  • Proficiency with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP or comparable enterprise ERP platforms, required
  • Working knowledge of One Stream or any ERP reporting, analytics, workflow, integration, security, support, and any release management tools, required
  • Experience with enterprise work management, service management, collaboration, and productivity tools such as ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite, preferred

  • Strong understanding of ERP operating models, product ownership, application governance, support operations, change management, and continuous improvement practices
  • Ability to translate enterprise business priorities into ERP roadmaps, support priorities, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, manage competing priorities, evaluate tradeoffs, and make informed decisions that balance business value, risk, cost, timing, and supportability
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner effectively with business leaders, process owners, technology teams, security, compliance, audit, vendors, and Oracle
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, including coaching, performance management, prioritization, capacity planning, and team development


Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $175,000 - $225,000
Maryland Range: $175,000 - $225,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $175,000 - $225,000
