Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Operations Finance for Ingersoll Rand's CSS NA (Compression Systems and Services, North America) SBU. The position reports to the VP, Finance CSS NA. The Operations Finance Director should be strategic, a team player with a positive attitude, be proactive, manage complex tasks, and possess a high attention to detail. The position leads a team of finance professionals across 9 manufacturing and distribution plants accountable for the financial accounting, planning, reporting, analysis, and controls. In addition, this position provides the Operations organization financial leadership in the development and implementation of business strategies, objectives, and operating plans to ensure fiscal soundness, operational effectiveness, and shareholder value.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the operations leadership teams to develop operations strategy and drive the translation of strategic goals into actionable/measurable business plans
  • Drive process standardization across operations finance, including but not limited to: standard cost setting, forecasting, warranty, capitalized variances, and overall inventory valuation across all locations.
  • Partner with Operations Leaders to drive operational excellence, improve productivity, margins, delivery, cash flow, and service and execute business plans.
  • Responsible for driving an effective controls environment across all manufacturing locations
  • Partners for effective execution of project initiatives including capital investments, restructuring projects, footprint utilization, etc.
  • Build effective long-term organizational competency through focused leadership of Plant Controllers and their teams, and Operations FP&A, through coaching, training, development and succession planning


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations (costing, compliance, Financial planning)

Core Competencies:
  • Proven ability to work well in a cross-functional environment.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a proven ability to manage multiple critical projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels of the organization.


Preferences:
  • Master's Degree
  • CMA, CFA, CPA is a plus.
  • Strong PC skills (Excel, Power-Point) required.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, and Hyperion Consolidation tools is a plus

~25% travel (domestic)
