About the role

The Director, U.S. Marketing is responsible for defining and leading the U.S. go-to-market strategy across the Endoscopy business, synthesizing the strategy across the product portfolio and ancillary commercial functions as well as direct leadership of customer segment strategy, inclusive of all non-product solutions. This leader brings deep expertise in U.S. market dynamics, customer needs, care setting trends, and sales channel priorities to ensure portfolio and downstream marketing strategies are effectively translated into customer-centric commercial execution for the US Endo field sales organization.

This is a field-based role, and we welcome applications from qualified candidates located anywhere in the United States. The candidate must reside within the U.S. and be able to travel as required to support customer and business needs.

Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Lead, develop and manage a US field based marketing team
  2. Lead the creation and deployment of the US Annual Marketing Plan, aligned with the Global Annual Marketing plan
  3. Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs by segment. Use this knowledge to influence and advocate for product and services portfolio for the US market needs.
  4. Ideate, influence and execute quarterly action plans in response to quarterly US Sales plans and results. Shared responsibility for US commissionable performance.
  5. Oversee team deployment of commercial activity and resources for the US, tailored by sales channel and/or customer segment. Includes responsibility to create cohesion cross-functionally for streamlined execution against priorities. Includes, but not limited to: Product marketing, Integrated marketing communications, HEMA, Professional Education, Portfolio, Sales training, Sales enablement, Commercial AI, Evidence dissemination.


Leadership & Organizational Development
  • People: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing U.S. Segment Marketing organization responsible for customer segment strategy, go-to-market activation, sales enablement, customer / portfolio insights, and development and deployment of non-product services.
  • Process: Define and evolve the U.S. Segment Marketing operating model, establishing clear priorities, governance, and cross-functional ways of working that maximize organizational effectiveness and business impact.


Customer Segment Strategy & Commercial Leadership
  • Segment insight: Own the U.S. customer segment strategy, leveraging deep understanding of U.S. market dynamics, customer needs, care settings, and sales channel priorities to drive market development, customer adoption, and business growth.
  • Market expertise: Serve as the voice of the U.S. customer and field organization, translating customer insights, competitive intelligence, market trends, and needs of the US selling organization into strategic recommendations that influence portfolio priorities, innovation, evidence generation, and commercial planning.
  • Portfolio needs: Represent the U.S. commercial perspective within global marketing processes, ensuring U.S. market realities are reflected in portfolio strategies and commercialization plans.


Go to Market Strategy and Commercial Execution
  • Execution: Own the U.S. go-to-market strategy by translating enterprise, portfolio, and product marketing strategies into integrated customer engagement plans that drive adoption, market development, and commercial performance, with tailoring by customer segment. Includes responsibility to create cohesion cross-functionally for streamlined execution against priorities. Includes, but not limited to: Product marketing, Integrated marketing communications, HEMA, Professional Education, Portfolio, Sales training, Sales enablement, Commercial AI, Evidence dissemination, market development.
  • Field Enablement: Lead the segment sales enablement strategy, ensuring campaigns, product launches, portfolio initiatives, and customer-facing programs are effectively adapted into coordinated messaging, tools, and engagement approaches that maximize field effectiveness.
  • Stakeholders: Partner with Sales Leadership to align commercial execution, customer engagement strategies, and sales channel priorities to achieve U.S. business objectives.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate across mutli Oversee team deployment of commercial activity and resources for the US, tailored by sales channel and/or customer segment.
  • CRM Act as a change champion in marketing, for marketing insights and engagement into Salesforce (CRM) and all related innovations to ensure go to market execution and insights are leveraging CRM.


Services and Solutions Commercialization
  • Execution: Lead commercialization of the U.S. services and solutions portfolio, ensuring offerings are effectively integrated into customer segment strategies and support long-term business growth.
  • Development: Ideate and drive agreements, in collaboration with BD team, to introduce new services and solutions to the US market that accelerate revenue growth.
  • eCommerce: Drive adoption of Boston Scientific's digital customer engagement capabilities, including the company's eCommerce platform, while identifying new service and digital solution opportunities that strengthen customer relationships and differentiate the portfolio.


Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in downstream marketing, commercial leadership, strategy, or business leadership within the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated success in go-to-market strategy and execution that drives revenue growth, customer adoption, and market expansion.
  • Experience working effectively within a cross-functional matrixed organization.
  • Strong business acumen with experience balancing customer needs, financial performance, and strategic priorities.
  • Excellent executive communication, organizational influence, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading teams of people, and influencing senior leadership.
  • Willingness to travel to customers within the US, up to 75%

Preferred qualifications:
  • Leadership capabilities with a history of building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing teams
  • Clinical understanding of endoscopic procedures and customer value drivers
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master's in a related field)

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
