Job DescriptionStaples is seeking a Director, Talent Acquisition Operations & Compliance to lead our recruiting infrastructure, including operations, systems, compliance, and vendor management. This role ensures hiring practices are efficient, scalable, and compliant while delivering a strong experience for candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters.
What You'll Do
- Lead TA operations, compliance, reporting, and process improvement
- Advise on TA Marketing strategies
- Translate hiring needs into scalable, efficient recruiting processes
- Drive continuous improvement across workflows and service delivery
- Oversee ATS, CRM, background screening, and AI-enabled recruiting tools
- Lead system enhancements, integrations, and workflow improvements
- Partner with systems to modernize recruiting infrastructure
- Evaluate new technologies to support evolving hiring needs
- Oversee background screening, audits, and escalations
- Establish governance, controls, and documentation
- Monitor regulatory changes and mitigate risk
- Optimize vendor value and delivery
- Coach and develop talent to strengthen team capability
- Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
What You Bring
- Strong knowledge of recruiting compliance and regulatory requirements
- Experience leading system implementations or process redesigns
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, and service delivery
- Proven cross-functional partnership
Experience
- 10+ years in TA Operations, HR Operations, Recruiting Operations, HR Compliance, or similar experience
- 5+ years of people leadership experience
- Experience managing TA systems (ATS, CRM)
- Experience using data and metrics to drive process improvements
