GENERAL SUMMARY
For this Director of Talent Acquisition position, we are looking for candidates who will operationalize corporate strategies to support individual departmental recruitment needs. Additionally, drive overall recruiting initiatives supportive of operational leadership. The Director will provide leadership for recruitment teams across the healthcare system, leading and empowering teams of recruiters responsible for identifying, sourcing, and hiring of clinical and non-clinical professionals.
The Director of Talent Acquisition partners with key stakeholders to understand business and talent priorities and strategize recruiting activities to develop a pipeline of qualified candidates. Improve recruiting transparency by implementing effective analytics and reporting. Additional areas of responsibility include vendor management, candidate research and sourcing, industry events, and recruitment programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and operationalize a strategic recruiting plan that will meet the hiring objectives.
- Ensure the talent acquisition team consistently executes the defined process through effective training and performance measurement.
- Partner with recruiting leadership to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
- Support the Senior Vice President of Human Resources on budgetary accountability for the overall Talent Selection function.
- Gather, analyze, and inform stakeholders on key-performance indicators related to hiring activity and team performance.
- Communicate key insights and talent trends via formal presentations and management reporting.
- Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Development: lead recruiters in proactively establishing a pipeline of diverse candidates for departments supported.
- Develop and implement recruitment and social media branding campaigns.
- Facilitate and develop training for recruiters, hiring managers, and associated teams on processes, tools, and best practices.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in full life cycle recruitment for a medium to large size, multi-site organization.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated strong and engaging leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience leading and developing a team of recruiters and/or clinical recruiters as well as a track record of developing recruiting processes that drive overall team effectiveness.
- Knowledge of emerging healthcare issues and trends and its impacts on recruiting and organizational readiness is beneficial.
- Executive presence and proven experience developing and nurturing partnerships within complex organizations.
- Strong communication skills and proven experience managing others through change.
- Progressive experience developing and managing multispecialty nurse recruitment strategies for a complex health organization.
- Strong understanding of best practices and trends within talent acquisition and the ability to apply those practices to nurse recruiting.
- In-depth recruitment knowledge of advanced sourcing techniques, tools, and solutions
- Outstanding project management skills with the ability to analyze complex data and develop sound recommendations and solutions.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, conflict management, and decision-making skills; ability to engage, build relationships, and influence others at multiple levels of the organization.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively with stakeholders in a one-on-one, or in a large group setting.
- Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, candidate assessment and selection methodologies.
- Experience with Taleo, Peoplesoft, LinkedIn and other recruiting applications
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree is strongly preferred.
