Job Description
The Director of Supporting Services will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will provide strategic leadership for a multidisciplinary service group that supports internal operations while managing client-facing projects. This role oversees Construction Services, Hydraulics & Hydrology (H&H), Municipal Management, and other specialized services to ensure exceptional project delivery, operational efficiency, and strong financial performance. Working closely with leaders across the company, this individual is responsible for their group's resource planning, team development, operational performance, and continuous improvement while ensuring high-quality service. The Director of Supporting Services will be a champion and leader of our company's core values, while maintaining internal and external customer engagement and satisfaction.
Some responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Direct day-to-day operations to ensure efficient, consistent, and high-quality service delivery.
- Partner with other division leaders to plan resources, balance workloads, and meet project priorities.
- Drive operational excellence through effective staffing, utilization management, process improvement, and performance metrics.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and operational performance.
- Maintain involvement in project management, technical leadership, and client coordination as appropriate.
- Build and strengthen client relationships while supporting business development and strategic growth initiatives.
- Promote quality, risk management, and compliance with company standards and best practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree - preferred
- Minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated leadership, operational management, team development, and service delivery experience. A combination of education and experience totaling at least ten (10) years will also be considered.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing operations.
- Demonstrated success in resource planning, financial performance, operational metrics, and continuous process improvement.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
