Working closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership, you will connect strategy with practical execution and build a reliable, scalable supply chain that strengthens customer service, supports growth, manages working capital, and safely delivers products across Canada. The day-to-day activities of our Director of Supply Chain will include: • National Supply Chain Leadership: Develop and execute supply chain plans across procurement, inventory, warehousing, and distribution. Establish consistent processes, controls, performance measures, and accountability across BGE locations while coaching and developing supply chain leaders. • Procurement & Supplier Partnerships: Lead purchasing strategy, vendor selection, negotiations, supplier performance, and relationship management. Improve cost, commercial terms, reliability, lead times, continuity of supply, and risk management. • Inventory & Working Capital: Own inventory accuracy, availability, replenishment processes, cycle counting, stock levels, obsolete and slow-moving inventory, and working capital discipline. Partner with Finance, Sales, and Service to balance inventory investment with customer and service-level expectations. • Warehouse, Distribution & Safety: Provide visible safety leadership and oversee reliable and efficient warehouse and distribution operations. Improve safety, productivity, receiving, picking, shipping, transfers, and the cost-effective movement of goods across Canada. • Systems & Continuous Improvement: Use ERP reporting and operational data to improve decision-making, standardize processes, reduce waste, and strengthen service, supplier, inventory, warehouse, freight, and safety performance. The right candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications on their resume and initial phone screen: • 8-12+ years of progressive leadership experience across multiple supply chain functions, with experience managing people leaders in a multi-site environment. • Demonstrated success improving service, cost, inventory, supplier reliability, safety, or process consistency, supported by strong financial and business acumen. • Strong ERP and data-reporting capability. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, warehouse-management systems, demand planning, or production scheduling is considered an asset. • The ability to travel to BGE locations across Canada and North American vendor locations as required. • Post-secondary education in supply chain management, business, operations, engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • A supply chain designation or certification such as SCMP, CSCP, CPIM, Lean, or Six Sigma is considered an asset. During the interview process, we will be looking for behaviors that demonstrate: • Strategic thinking combined with a practical approach to execution and continuous improvement. • Collaborative leadership and the ability to partner with Manufacturing, Sales, Service, Finance, and Senior Leadership on shared objectives. • Visible safety leadership and sound judgment when balancing customer service, cost, risk, working capital, and operational capacity. • The ability to coach leaders, communicate clear expectations, and lead changes across multiple locations. • Alignment with our core values: Together we are Better, Be the Expert, Striving for Excellence. A successful candidate must be able to pass pre-employment and, where required, pre-access drug, cannabis and alcohol tests. What We offers: • A competitive total compensation package including RSP matching, benefits, and Health Spending Account. • Time off that supports work / life integration, including Wellness days. • Breathing clean air is crucial to us. That's why, on your work anniversary, we gift our team members with complimentary filters. • Opportunities for growth in a friendly, cooperative environment with a home-grown company who has nothing but opportunities ahead of us.
