Full Job Description
ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead product sourcing, procurement, supplier quality, material flow, inventory, and warehousing operations for the ALTIUS product line in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will lead a high-performing supply chain organization executing under extreme urgency to deliver at high-rate production. Unlike traditional aerospace programs bound to rigid, years-long developmental cycles, Anduril continuously iterates and upgrades hardware post-deployment. You will be asked to thrive in ambiguity: onboarding and driving suppliers against tight deadlines when engineering requirements are not yet fully locked, compressing 6-month industry lead times into weeks, and building a resilient supply base that can pivot in real time. You will lead cross-functional efforts across engineering, manufacturing, and corporate sourcing-partnering closely with our central Arsenal manufacturing and commodity teams-to guarantee parts arrive on time to hit demanding delivery targets.
As a member of the Supply Chain team, you will operate in a matrix reporting structure, reporting directly to the Atlanta Head of Production with dotted-line responsibilities to corporate Supply Chain leadership.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Architect and execute an aggressive, agile supply chain strategy supporting high-rate manufacturing for the ALTIUS hardware line.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale an operational supply chain team supporting a production organization of 50+ personnel.
  • Drive supplier identification, qualification, and performance under dynamic conditions, managing suppliers effectively even when initial engineering requirements or scopes are evolving.
  • Aggressively compress lead times-turning standard 6-month industry timelines into rapid turnarounds without sacrificing quality or system reliability.
  • Own supplier quality engineering, inspection, validation, and qualification processes, utilizing DFMEA and quality standards to proactively mitigate part failure risks.
  • Lead rigorous commercial and cost negotiations with critical vendors, moving beyond standard long-term agreements (LTAs) to secure maximum speed, flexibility, and volume pricing.
  • Optimize end-to-end material flow, inventory control, and warehousing using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Maintain rigorous manufacturing and audit compliance standards (including AS9100 quality management).
  • Partner closely with central Arsenal manufacturing hubs, corporate commodity managers, and engineering teams to conduct make/buy analyses and resolve design-to-production bottlenecks.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point when suppliers slip: diagnosing root causes, executing recovery plans, and ensuring the line never goes down.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive supply chain and procurement leadership experience within aerospace, defense, hardware devices, automotive/EV (e.g., Tesla), or advanced hardware manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of career progression and organizational tenure (demonstrated growth/promotions within prior companies).
  • Direct experience scaling a production line to high volumes (hundreds of complex mechanical/electrical units per month).
  • Demonstrated experience operating under extreme speed and ambiguity, with an ability to deliver on commitments when design definitions or specs are still evolving.
  • Deep expertise in supplier quality management, qualification processes, DFMEA, and AS9100 compliance.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating with modern ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to visit local and regional supply partners.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) and eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior experience in fast-turn, high-consequence hardware environments
  • Master's degree or MBA in a technical or business discipline.
  • Active U.S. Secret (or higher) security clearance.
  • Familiarity with defense contracting practices, FAR/DFARS, and ITAR compliance.
