Full Job Description
In this 245-day leadership role, you'll oversee programs and services that support English Learners, at-risk and vulnerable student populations, attendance, alternative education, health services, and student and family well-being. You'll lead teams, build effective systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with families, staff, agencies, and community partners to create meaningful pathways for student success.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Building comprehensive student support systems that improve achievement, attendance, engagement, behavior, belonging, and overall student success
  • Ensuring high-quality English Language Development services, from identification and screening through instruction and reclassification
  • Using data and assessment practices to identify needs, evaluate programs, and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, reporting requirements, and student service mandates
  • Building strong partnerships with families, district staff, community agencies, and organizations serving multilingual and vulnerable student populations
  • Leading coordinated interventions and wraparound services that address the academic, social, emotional, and personal needs of students

Required Qualifications:

  • K-12 principal certification preferred, with a minimum of five years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Certification requirements to teach English Language Development/ESL Specialist
  • Classroom experience and knowledge of research-based PreK-12 instruction, with a focus on ELD and student services
  • Experience with data management, data analysis, assessment practices, and professional development
  • Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with district personnel, government agencies, families, and community members

  • Keep district leadership informed of changes in laws, regulations, and best practices affecting ELD and student services

This leadership position requires frequent visits to district schools, collaboration with staff and community partners, and participation in meetings, conferences, and student support activities.
