Full Job Description
The Role

We're hiring a Director of Strategic Finance to be the analytical engine behind how Oasis grows. You'll own the budget, the forecast, and the reporting - but the real mandate is turning numbers into decisions: where we invest, how we price, which motions to double down on, and what the next chapter looks like.

This is a builder's seat. You'll architect the operating model, the metrics, and the systems - helping build an AI-native finance function that drives how the company makes decisions.

You'll report to the VP of Finance and partner with leadership across the company.
What You'll Do
  • Own the operating model. Own the operating model. Run the company-wide budget, forecast, and long-range plan, plus a rolling forecast leadership actually trusts.
  • Turn reporting into decisions. Deliver reporting, board and investor materials, and the SaaS metrics that matter - ARR, GRR, NRR, CAC payback, magic number, burn multiple - with a crisp narrative on what's driving them.
  • Drive strategic finance. Lead scenario planning, unit economics, pricing and packaging analysis, capital allocation, and ROI on every major spend decision. Be the person leadership comes to before placing a bet.
  • Partner cross-functionally. Embed with GTM on pipeline, capacity, quota, and comp; with Product and Engineering on roadmap ROI and infrastructure cost; with People on headcount planning. Translate finance into language each team can act on.
  • Read the market. Market sizing, competitive and pricing benchmarking, and win/loss economics. Bring an outside-in view that sharpens internal strategy.
  • Support fundraising and corporate strategy. Build the models and materials behind raises, and support diligence, board work, and strategic initiatives as we scale.
  • Engineer the systems. Finance here is a clean slate, and we want it built around AI from the ground up - not the standard playbook with AI bolted on. The right person has a sharp point of view on what an AI-native finance function should be, and the drive to build it.
What We're Looking For
  • 5-8 years of startup finance experience with a history of increased responsibilities
  • Strategic finance / FP&A experience at a startup that scaled ARR fast
  • Investment banking or consulting background
  • Elite modeling and analytical chops, paired with the communication skills to make the numbers land with non-finance audiences
  • Ability to work in-person 3 days/week in our NYC office
What Sets You Apart
  • High slope. Your trajectory matters more than your years. You learn fast, take on more than your title, and keep delivering.
  • AI-forward to the core. You reach for technology before headcount, every time. You'd rather build a system or an agent than hire around a problem.
  • Owner's mindset. You take a question from ambiguous to answered without being asked twice. When something's broken, you fix it; when something's missing, you build it.
  • Strategic, not just analytical. You see past the spreadsheet to the business decision underneath - and you have a point of view on it.
